Good mouse

Colin G., Newegg
  • Summary: Overall it's a nice mouse. I purchased it to compliment my Deathstalker keyboard and they work very nicely together. It does what Razer said it would do, but I docked an egg for the lack of on the fly DPI modification. I've seen much cheaper mice with those buttons, but it is something minor and I knew that before purchasing.
  • Pros: Fits my hand quite well, despite them being on the smaller side of the aisle (I wear a size 7 wedding ring if that gives you any indication). Left and right click respond very well, and neither has decided to click without my permission. Perhaps that'll come with age. The green LEDs are a nice touch, matches my keyboard and case fans. I've noticed a definite increase in mouse-accuracy when it comes to FPSs; my movements across the screen are much smoother than before ...
  • Cons: Would prefer to be able to change the Razer logo LED to a steady glow rather than a slow motion flash, but it's still kinda cool. This mouse doesn't allow you to modify the DPI on the fly (I've seen mice with two small buttons in front of the scroll wheel for that very reason). You gotta actually enter the Synapse software to change it. Can be annoying at times but it's a minor inconvenience (Google has told me that this things predecessor had that feature but it was ...

No better mouse out there

Michael M., Newegg
  • Summary: Overall, it's a fantastic gaming mouse and I'd recommend it to anyone out there interested in a comfortable gaming mouse. If you're like me and have used the previous version of the product then, be prepared for some slight adjustments. However, that break-in period is rather short. A great buy...enjoy it!
  • Pros: - Comfortable design that will allow you to game for hours. - Minimalistic approach - Only 2 extra programmable buttons aside from the main three (left click, right click, scroll click). This is just nice and convenient for me considering that I just don't need a ton of programmable buttons to game. - Cord length is a plus.
  • Cons: - Not really a con but, for anyone who has used a previous version of the mouse, the grips on the side can take a little time to adjust to. - The top surface of the mouse definitely has a different feel than it's predecessor (Not a con, but making note as it threw me off initially)

RMAing now

David F., Newegg
17 September 2014
  • Summary: Had to take off one star since I have 3 M510's that have been threw hell and still work perfect. The DeathAdder was babied and well cared for.
  • Pros: Great look and feel Very good tracking Lasted just shy of 1 year
  • Cons: Worked great until it didn't any more lol. Out of the blue the left click button has a mind of it's own. It randomly single, double, and click and hold's no matter what I want it to do. Just started the RMA so I guess I will see if buying a premium mouse was a good idea.

Love it, but...

Kris W., Newegg
28 August 2014
  • Summary: Expect some hit or miss with the DeathAdder. I've had great products otherwise through Razer, but this one seems to have the most quality control issues. Finally ended up just buying a new one at Best Buy, where I could test it out before taking it home. Hopefully RMA will respond soon, so I can send the 2nd faulty unit back (the original is still under 1 year warranty, but I couldn't wait for their horrible response times any longer).
  • Pros: Ergonomics, mechanical switches, GREAT response time! Favorite mouse. Highly recommend this over the G500s Logitech if you favor response time. Just wish it had DPI switches built in without having to use Synapse (which I actually like using for most everything else).
  • Cons: Had to RMA my first mouse after 4 months because it stopped tracking. Had to wait 3 weeks to simply receive a replacement, and the replacement unit had a bad right click button! Razer's RMA service is poor. No communication, ridiculously long wait times. Nizam in customer service has been AMAZING in helping me out with this, expediting my replacement unit, giving me info on different devices, etc. HIGHLY recommend Nizam, but don't expect the RMA department to care wha...

Overrated, but still good quality

Sam S., Newegg
19 June 2014
  • Summary: I am hoping this is just because I am not used to this mouse, as I have owned it for under a week. However, when something is reviewed to "fit like a glove," aka a 5 star product, it must be absolutely flawless. This mouse isn't. I havent tried any steelseries or zowie mice, but I think the latter (zowie) produce the most comfortable mice that are best for all grip styles.
  • Pros: -Quality materials -Phenomenal sensor -Great feedback on ALL clicks (even side buttons, very rare in mice) -Looks great Getting adjusted to this new grip (see below for details) is actually a blessing in disguise. I am more accurate when I pinch this mouse with my palm, and my ring and pinky finger are much stiffer and stabler due to the shape of the mouse. I couldn't do this with other mice because it was my preference, but this mouse has forced me into it. Given it'...
  • Cons: I am a MOBA/FPS player, of above average (pub domination in servers is slightly above average, even a k/d of 10:1, high level means you play with others at the high/est level) skill level. My grip is a claw/fingertip grip, but not purely either. Pretty much I dislike the palm grip. It's a great mouse to hold, but my hands are precisely 7.5"/19cm from base to middle finger tip, which I always thought were fairly medium sized hands, and this mouse just doesn't "fit snug...

Good mouse, one problem for me.

Gerald B., Newegg
6 June 2014
  • Pros: It's very light (105g). My previous mouse was a G500 that I bought back in 2013. Even without the weights the G500 was heavy compared to the DeathAdder. I can aim a lot better on my cloth Corsair mouse pad because of this. Low weight = less friction = smoother movement on the pad = more precise aim. This mouse is easily the most comfortable I have ever used. I've got fairly big hands and I've only found one other mouse that is as comfortable as this (Mionix 3200). The...
  • Cons: The cord is laughably thin. It can't even support it's own weight, and after only a month of use, the cord at the base of the USB plug started failing. I had to wrap a thick layer of duct tape around the base of the USB plug for about 1 1/2 inches to keep the plug straight. It works fine now, but this is a major oversight.
