Very Surprised...Mouse died on first day

michael m., Newegg
  • Summary: I'm torn whether I should replace this mouse with the same model, but I'm leaning that way. I feel I just got a "bad" one, which can happen with any PC item you buy. I bought a "Blackwidow" Keyboard at the same time and it has been incredible! I'm still a "Razer" supporter....
  • Pros: Nice design & feel. I liked the spacing of the side buttons. The lighting was really nice.
  • Cons: I researched several gaming mice before purchasing this one. I've owned several "Razer" mice/keyboard over the years and have always enjoyed them. The moment I plugged it in and installed the drivers, the mouse would intermittently go off. I re-installed the drivers as recommended online, rebooted my rig and eventually the mouse came back on. Later in the same day it happened again, except I could not get the mouse to come back on. I restarted my rig and several hours...

User Review

pericardiyum, gdgt
7 March 2014
  • Excerpt: This mouse is the quality of something you'd find in a dollar store. It failed after about 1 month of light use and I had to send it back under warranty. Then a year later it began to double click constantly, and fails to track movement. I took it apart to clean it out but this didn't do...

Beautiful mouse, repugenent "cloud driver" software; Razer have jumped the shark

Toby R. Douglass, Amazon
22 February 2014
  • Summary: The mouse physically is as with previous models, lovely. However, as of this version, the software (driver and configuration) are no longer a normal Windows driver and application, but a "cloud-based" driver, which is to say, you need to create an account, provide your email address, log in, have a binary which runs at startup which has you permanently logged in, reboot when the binary is auto-updated, etc, where the binary auto-installs mouse drivers/firmware and sets...

Good mouse, atrocious mac software

Cartwright, Amazon
15 December 2013
  • Summary: The mac software for this guy is so bad. You have to create an account just to get your extra buttons working. Uh, no thank you. I don't think these guys use Macs because the software is very very Windows. It looks like an 18 year old intern designed it while listening to dubstep. It requires restarts. It restarts itself when you force it to quit. It doesn't have a "exit" option in the tray menu item.

  • Summary: I have had 2 of these mice now. 1purchased here and 1 from Walmart. Niether of then lasted long. They are great for a few weeks and then either the buttons get way too sensitive or don't work at all.

Lasted about a year.

Jordan, Amazon
29 September 2013
  • Summary: Was one of the only left handed gaming mice available. It lasted about 8 months and promptly fell apart. I am not a heavy handed gamer, we're talking normal use, normal wear and tear. The first thing to go was the scroll wheel. It no longer would scroll properly on webpages, scrolling down would make the page go up normally more than it would go down.

Scroll wheel failure makes me move on

Veggente, Amazon
18 August 2013
  • Summary: I used a Logitech mechanical mouse for years before I switched to a Microsoft IO 1.1 for better gaming performance. Last year my IO 1.1 completed its 8-year service and I replaced it with a Razer Deathadder. I liked the looking of the Deathadder a lot, but after one year of use I decide to move on and never switch back. The reasons are as follows: 1. Scroll wheel gave up completely a few days ago (when I was scrolling in a djvu book) 2.
