Great mouse, but worst driver software ever (Synapse)
14 October 2013
Summary: This is my third Deathadder Left Handed. I play lots of games and the mouse tends to last about two years with heavy use. It is the best mouse I have ever used and the side buttons are properly placed for a left handed person. The mouse has very high resolution and is very responsive. The buttons have a nice feel and the cable is plenty long enough and easy to route around obstacles and through gaps. In isolation, the mouse would score at least four stars.
Summary: i have been used to my lycosa and orochi, which were ambidextrous. Being left-handed i decided to try a left-handed mice, but this one doesnt feel right. The cursor's movement is irregular. On accelerations and sharp movements it "jumps around". The shape of it isnt great either. Go for a different Razer mice!
Summary: I've had this mouse for a month and the scroll wheel is already showing strange behaviour, which is apparently common with this mouse. If you scroll up or down on a webpage, it sometimes randomly scrolls in the opposite direction for one or more 'clicks', no matter how fast you're scrolling it.
Summary: The mouse itself does what is needed so far, and there's no alternative 5-button left handed mouse out there. But the Cloud Synapse software that comes with it, and you need for the advanced functions, is rubbish. You get a taste for how rubbish when you are forced to create an account to download the software, and then find you can't log in with the account you just created ...
Summary: A Mac user's review: Other products tried: all on my 2011 MacBook Pro core i7 on native OSX Lion install: DeathAdder regular, Logitech MX Performance, Logitech G700, Razer NAGA, SteelSeries WOW Cataclysm. Longevity After reading reviews on Amazon and new egg, I don't expect to last as long as my other mice products. Mine came with the latest firmware but I've read a few users' experience with firmware updates bricking their DeathAdder.
