  • Summary: Took it apart, needed cleaning badly but still has same problems..Updating firmware and drivers made it even worse!
  • Pros: Looks nice! Feels good while in use!
  • Cons: When the mouse is dead still, the curser jiggles all over my screen, makes it very tough to shoot when playing a game..Razer was no help at all, they said get a better mouse pad,I went through 5t different mouse pads and non made it better!

Deathadder left hand mouse

Kevin B., Newegg
23 October 2013
  • Summary: The scroll wheel started going out after the 2 year limited warranty ended. Sure I've had it for around 2 1/2 years but I feel like it should last longer than that. Before this mouse I had a copperhead and that mouse was solid as well till the right click stopped working.
  • Pros: The looks are nice. Worked good while it lasted. Despite what people say I like razer synapse which is required if you wanna use the macro buttons. Lefthandedness which is awesome. 5 stars if the scroll wheel stayed functional.
  • Cons: Scroll wheel has been on the decline for some time now. It is now getting to the point where when I scroll up or down a page it will go in the opposite direction then go up. So it kinda just stays in the same spot.

Mouse likes to double click stick

Christopher B., Newegg
18 March 2013
  • Summary: If you like owning a gaming mouse for only a year and then having to pay another $60 be my guest.
  • Pros: Pros: Nice Mouse, Lots of features. Great for gaming. All around loved it...while it lasted.
  • Cons: Cons: Owned two of these for longer than a year. The first one had a problem with left button double-click sticking. Bought a new one cause I loved the mouse. Same problem year later. 5 hours a day use, 4-5 days a week. I don't mash the heck out of it either. I've been kind to my mouse.

Hardware fails within 3-6 months of use

Wesley C., Newegg
13 September 2012
  • Summary: If you are not a gamer and want to use this for normal use, then it should be fine, but for the intended purpose of the mouse it does not stand up to the use of gaming. Not recommending to others for gaming purposes
  • Pros: Left handed, smooth movement, excellent comfort and control, quick control response even though its only an optical mouse.
  • Cons: bad mouse button wheel, fails and does not scroll the right direction after 3-6 months. forward and back buttons get stuck and will not function properly. laser option not available for this mouse, only optical. Have purchased 3 and had all three replaced, have been using the free replacements fr...

Great mouse, horrible drivers

Shawn M., Newegg
3 March 2011
  • Summary: This mouse is a perfect example of how you can spend years of research and millions of dollars making a really good product and then ruin it by relying on shoddy software support. I wish I could say the problem's been confined to the Deathadder, but the trend of awesome product with horrible driver...
  • Pros: - Pretty slick and comfortable - Easily accessible side buttons - Pretty much everything about the physical device itself, really
  • Cons: - Reliance on drivers means input lags when the OS is lagging. - Driver configuration GUI could do with some simplification - Mouse buttons do not work AT ALL if reversed in the configuration utility - Drivers very slow to load at system start, resulting in erratic behavior - Simply not using the...

Quality Issues

Anonymous, Newegg
5 January 2011
  • Pros: FINALLY a left handed gaming mouse. I have a razer diamond back right now and though the low profile makes my hand hurt I love the performance. A lot of options to customize your settings - anyone coming from a standard mouse will be shocked.
  • Cons: Arrived defective. When clicking with the left mouse button the mouse will occassionally think I'm holding the button down instead of just clicking. It will then briefly lock up for 5 seconds or so until it decides I'm no longer holding down the click button. *You can't click any buttons during t...

I brought this in August 2010 (it's now June 2014) and the plastic center pin on the wheel has finally given up

Alan Hughes, Amazon
30 April 2014
  • Summary: I have used it daily for almost 4 years, but for £45 I would have hoped for 5-10 years worth ! - I have requested a spare part from manufacturer, and I will revise this review if they can replace said part. I will give it 5 stars as otherwise it's the best left handed mouse I've ever had.

Great mouse, but worst driver software ever (Synapse)

Stench, Amazon
14 October 2013
  • Summary: This is my third Deathadder Left Handed. I play lots of games and the mouse tends to last about two years with heavy use. It is the best mouse I have ever used and the side buttons are properly placed for a left handed person. The mouse has very high resolution and is very responsive.
