Summary: My previous Microsoft mouse had a similar rubber coating that after a few years turned somewhat sticky and got covered in unremovable dirt. I've worried that will happen with this mouse, but I've owned it for 2.5 years, and it is still fine. The coating does feel great.
Pros: I was hesitant to buy a mouse this expensive, but after having used it, I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It is the most comfortable mouse I've used. The size and shape are great. The mouse wheel is perfect: good scrolling and easy to click, unlike my previous Microsoft mouse that almost hurt my finger. The other buttons are easy to press too, and the back and forward buttons are the right place. I like that the mouse is corded, so no more replacing batteries every...
Cons: None, really. When I opened the mouse, there was a small piece of broken plastic stuck under the left mouse button. Since I could still click (just had to press harder), it took me a day to realize it wasn't made that way. Two minutes with a paperclip, and I got the broken plastic out.
Summary: This mouse has been great for me so far. It's very comfortable and has a nice texture to it. It's not as customizable as the higher end models as this one only has 3 dpi and led settings. I have very small hands so it is sometimes hard for me to reach the forward button. My only regret was that none of the retailers I visited had a display unit for me to try before I made the purchase.
Cons: Only has 3 dpi/ led settings, It's a little big
Summary: I wish I got the 8200, but at the time I paid around a third of the newegg price for this one. Picked this up for two nine and nine nine cents and couldn't be happier! If I find a sale on the 8200 I will pass this beauty on to the boy!
Pros: I love this thing!!! I have larger than normal hands and this mouse is the best I have used in terms of price/performance and fit in my hand. Closest I have felt to non trackball comfort (was gaming on a trackball for a while and that was a disaster for me.)
Cons: I wish it was just a tiny bit bigger, but docked nothing for this as it is still amazing!
Pros: Feels very nice in hand. Although I didn't use it much the software seemed pretty decent.
Cons: After a few months of moderate to hard use, the back thumb button stopped working, teflon feet started to wear and movement felt grainy, Thumb buttons are a little too far forward for my liking, but i got used to it.
Summary: I wasted a lot of money and now I have to buy a new mouse which I cannot afford. Warranty should be extended for a longer period of time.
Pros: Great Design Great Tracking Looks nice Feels good in hand
Cons: Started double clicking instead of single clicking when I click on something after about 1 year of use. Warranty is over so I am out of luck. This product was too expensive for what it is and how poor it's reliability and longevity is. Is you want a mouse that will last you a long time you can not depend on Mionix.
