Summary: Mionix did a nice job with the design and implementation that went into the Avior 8200. Longer lived Omron switches, the current top tier laser sensor, the multiple applications of the rubberized coating, its ambidextrous nature, all the way down to the LED additions and styling of the mouse, the Avior 8200 does have some fine selling points. It has been pretty average as far as the feel goes, since this design is very flat, even flatter then the Level 10M.
Summary: Mionix have recently introduced their Avior 8200 high-end mouse which sports a fine-tuned Avago 9800 sensor and can jump through DPI values thanks to the three programmable steps. It is ambidextrous and features a soft-touch coating which is comfortable during long gaming sessions.
Conclusion: When i first got my hands on the Naos 5000 roughly 3 years ago i was very intrigued by its large size which was obviously aimed at superior comfort compared to regular gaming mice and the fact that 3 years later Mionix is still continuing the Naos line and using the same design (or at least it looks the same) means that many others felt the exact same way as i.
Excerpt: I'm left-handed. Yet when it comes to computers, like most other lefties I know, I use a mouse with my right hand. It's just...how I was taught. So I've never seen the need for a mouse that tries to somehow accommodate both normal humans and sinister mutants.
Summary: Mionix's ambidextrous mouse is equal to the NAOS in terms of comfort. You can grip the AVIOR more freely than you can the NAOS, which allows you to grip it in many more ways than other mice—the AVIOR works equally well with a palm- or finger-type grip. Left-handed gamers will also quickly learn to love this mouse for its ambidextrous design.
Mionix stuck with the 8200 DPI laser sensor from the NAOS, and both mice feel the same.
Pros: Brilliant ergonomics, Durable, Good button mechanisms, Ambidextrous, Soft-touch coating, Excellent tracking performance at high DPI
Cons: Expensive, Not the best for low-sensitivity gaming
Summary: The Mionix Avior 8200 Gaming Mouse is a well built product that's comfy to hold, has a soft rubber grip, it's ambidextrous, 8200 DPI sensor, 128kb built-in memory, customizable LED lighting system, 9 programmable buttons and much more. The attention to details is excellent with a minimalistic look to it.
