The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 is a good mouse for light-users who need an affordable wireless notebook mouse. Since I am more used to the higher-end models and am a power user, I thought this mouse was a little more cheaply made and was not for me. The on/off switch is appreciated and necessary for a notebook mouse.  The new IntelliPoint 6.2 has some great new features that are definitely meant to work seamlessly with the mouse, however I hope they... Adopting a black and matt silver colour scheme, the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 is larger than you might normally expect for use with a notebook.  However this increase in size is hardly excessive.  The mouse measures 10.2 x 8.5cm (L x W) and fits comfortably in the hand. You could easily use this mouse as your main desktop pointing device. Read more

The software that came with the mouse was not compatible with Windows 7 (odd, since it is a Microsoft mouse!). I had to download the correct mouse driver from the Microsoft site. But the mouse itself is wonderful! Read more

Definitely one of the weaker models across the Microsoft Notebook wireless mouses. The battery indicator is weak at best as the low/no-battery indicator only shows up very briefly with rechargeable batteries before running dead in its tracks, so if you did not happen to notice during the brief warning period, you will be left with a dead pointer during your use. Add that to the "invisible" laser and you may be scratching your head at times. Read more
