OK, not great
Lee N., Newegg

Summary: Overall I don't like this mouse at all. But it's so cheap that return shipping and restock fees make it not worthwhile to return. So I'm suffering with it for now. Might be OK if you only use it with a laptop.
Pros: Nice feel for a small mouse, solid and weighty. Scroll wheel has a very positive action and doesn't overscroll like my old Microsoft wired mouse did.
Cons: Very short range. About 4 feet absolute max. After that it starts losing clicks. at 6 feet away doesn't work at all. This is with no other wireless technology nearby. Range is even worse if it doesn't have line of sight to the receiver. I recommend getting a USB extension cable to put the transmi...
Cons: The USB dongle for this thing is huge and sticks out over 2 inches from the USB port. If you only have USB ports on the right side of your laptop (provided you are right-handed), the USB dongle will get in your way. I bought this without inspecting the pictures first, oops. I've got a "nano-mouse...
Pros: Feels good, compact, no issues connecting to PC.
Cons: Scroll wheel broke after about two months. No abuse, but it's spinning without registering. Microsoft's support website allowed me to step through a five page support request, before informing me that it wasn't working.
Summary: I have had two MS wireless keybords and mice fail before a year was up. They work fine until they just give up. Tried new batteries, different computer, etc, etc. First the mouse failed, keyboard later. Good warranty/ telephone/ support from Microsoft support group.
Pros: The mouse is a great design, fits your hand well, very ergonomic. Reasonable price...but read on.
Cons: Remember this is my own personal experience, yours may be different: There seems to be a high failure rate in the wireless MS series. With the OEM model, there is no guarantee and replacement option for the product from Microsoft. If you are the end user, and you bought it from an equipment suppl...
Summary: I purchased one of these from Newegg over a year ago for my laptop. Seemed ok at first. The range is barely about 12-14 inches. The scroll wheel broke after 2 months, I repaired it to better than new and worked ever since.
Pros: -Wireless -Small -Good Battery Life -Dongle stores in mouse
Cons: -Range is very short -Scroll wheel is fragile -Dongle flakes/disconnects if barely touched -Optical mouse surface limitations
Summary: I own five of these, purchased from various sources. I also own three of the ORIGINAL MS Wireless Notebook mice. The original was a GREAT product, with long range and long battery life. MS' new model is cheaper, but not usable in many circumstances because of the short range.
Pros: Low price.
Cons: Poor range. If I plug this into the rear USB port of my server, the signal can't get through/around the metal case. Same problem with wooden desks. If there's not a nearly-straight-line path, you'll have signal problems. I've had this problem with all five of mine, as well as seeing the same prob...
Summary: I know this isn't a really high end mouse but even at this price it's a little disappointing. Misleadingly despite the description stating "Rubber side grips", the mouse doesn't have rubber sides just a textured surface etched into plastic sides.
