Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 2.0 Review

HardwareCentral
18 April 2008
  • Conclusion: A light on top of the mouse glows when its two AA alkalines are growing weak, which we didn't have time to observe -- Microsoft claims some users will see up to six months between battery replacements (or refills if you're doing the green thing and using rechargeable NiMH cells). Such users probably get in the habit of unplugging the mouse's flash-drive-sized USB transceiver from the PC or laptop and snapping it into its niche on the 6000's underside, which automatically...

Review: Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

Geek.com
19 February 2008
  • Excerpt: It was earlier this month, less then three weeks ago, that we first learned about Microsoft’s two new wireless laser mice. The Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and the Wireless Laser mouse 7000 may seem like products already released by Microsoft, but they are actually brand new releases.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 Review

HardwareCentral
18 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Everybody talks about Intel versus AMD or Nvidia versus ATI, but what could be the fiercest rivalry in PC hardware involves Microsoft and Logitech's battle for your mouse pad. Microsoft introduces the optical mouse; Logitech is first to make one cordless. Microsoft pioneers a tilting scroll wheel for horizontal as well as vertical scrolling; Logitech sees that and raises with an ultra-precise, invisible laser instead of a red LED optical sensor.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

The Mac Observer
10 June 2002
  • Conclusion: Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 is a big, beefy mouse that feels custom-made for my admittedly large paw. It does everything I want my mouse to do and I will use it as my main input device until something I like better comes along.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

Pocket Lint
15 November 2005
  • Conclusion: The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 is a very good mouse that certainly allows you to get the job done. The use of batteries over a rechargeable system as with Logitech will be something to bear in mind, but with one set lasting you 6 months this isn't going to be a high cost factor. What is, is the £40 price point and the fact that it's right handed. If you can spare the cash this is a good mouse offering from Microsoft.
  • Pros: Wireless, laser for precision, comfortable
  • Cons: Not a great range so no good for presentations, batteries will need replacing eventually, left handed users will have to go elsewhere

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

iXBT.com
26 July 2006

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

Hardware.no
