The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 isn't cheap, but if you want to go wireless and have an extra $70 lying around, this mouse is certainly an option. If you're going to spend that much, though, we think you'll like Logitech's high-end offering better. Read more

    • Comfortable shape; accurate laser tracks responsively; rechargeable; "executive" design.
    • Notchless scroll dial is hard to press and results in sloppy scrolling; lefties left out of luck.

The mouse is much ignored but you'd be amazed how much of a difference a good one can make, and this offering from Microsoft is the Rolls-Royce of mice. Not only is it comfortable to hold, with a soft-touch finish and sculpted lines that make it feel as if it were tailored to fit, but it also boasts a host of useful features. The best of these is its rechargeable battery, which you can top up by simply dropping it onto the docking cradle. Read more

The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 may look unusual but its one of the most comfortable and ergonomic we've tested. The ability to enable different commands for the buttons and wheel in different programs particularly impressed us. Read more

I bought this mouse mainly for the ergonomic properties due to pain in my hand. That part worked great - the pain went away within a day of using it. Unfortunately there is something wrong with the charging cradle or how it connects to the mouse because it never charged for me. Now I just put regular batteries in it. Read more or see product

I really dislike this mouse after using it for about 5 months now, it came with the wireless keyboard I got, wasn't cheap ... and after only a few months of usage the rubber on the scroll wheel lets go ! I've been using Logitech keyboard/mouse combinations for years but liked the look of the Microsoft keyboard ... I've been using an MX for two years now, and it still goes perfect ... Read more

    • It's rechargeable, so you can keep using it.
    • Can't support intense usage. Batteries get low quickly The surface needs to have contrast for it to work

Overall, it's still a great mouse, but do yourself a favor, toss the charger and the battery and get yourself some NiMH AAA batteries with a charger. Read more

    • Very responsive mouse, works great. Feels good in my large hands. I like the on/off switch on the mouse.
    • Though, I'm not happy with a few things, first being the scroll wheel, I like the firmness but I don't like that it doesn't step scroll it smooth scrolls.
