Durable like my Honda

Anonymous, Newegg
10 August 2010
  • Summary: I luv the mouse. I'm not a gamer, so, I have no comments that would be helpful to a gamer. I mostly browse the internet, or use the the back and forward buttons which seem perfect to me.
  • Pros: This is my 2nd MS Laser 5000; my first is about two years old. I don't abuse my equipment, but having said that, my mouse has been extremely durable, and works and looks like the day I first bought it. Batteries last surprisingly long. Like others have said, the batteries last about 6 months. It ...
  • Cons: The transmission range is pitiful--one or two feet at most. Like others have said, the receiver seems larger than it should be.

Great

Albert Z., Newegg
22 February 2010
  • Summary: So far the only surface I've tried that it doesn't work on is skin, though I've only tried on about a dozen surfaces
  • Pros: Works smoothly on almost every surface. Fast response. Nice shape. Completely symmetrical where it counts, so even though I'm not left-handed, anybody who is can use this perfectly.
  • Cons: The receiver is the size of the mouse, but that's really just a minor thing.

  • Pros: Perfect fit for my hand. I have dificulty with the smaller wireless mice for laptops. This baby is designed for a larger hand.

Great MS Mouse

Andrew F., Newegg
22 January 2010
  • Summary: The large, easy to feel and use tilt wheel scroller is great. My wife never used the smaller, less accessable wheel on the old mouse. Now she uses this feature all the time with much improved efficiency.
  • Pros: Worked perfectly right out of the box. I am an avid gamer and have noticed no measurable lag. My previous mouse was a high end, optical, corded mouse. Just got tired of pushing cords around my desk top. I see no difference in responsiveness. The size and shape are the same as my old Logetech mous...
  • Cons: My wife complained about the top right button that has a default setting of "Magnify". She foundn it interesting, but she would hit it accidently which became annoying. However, the Microsoft software gives you the ability to select many options for each button, so, for her, I set the button to "...
