Half Price Surprise!
29 July 2010
Summary: My keyboard was dropped accidentally and the space bar kept sticking. This caused headaches in trying to type anything! So, I did a Google search for the keyboard and found J & R online with pricing at half price!!!!! I was so excited about the price!!!!! [...] it was easy to set up and is faster to type on than the old one! I am most pleased!
Pros: Durable, Easy Connectivity, Ergonomic, Fast Connection, Versatile
Summary: The product is good but it was used and actually had a cd for the software inside that was written on with a sharpie. It was a homemade cd and the batteries that were supposed to be included were taken out. I downloaded the software directly from microsoft and bought some batteries and the keyboard and mouse both work. I think maybe more quality checks need to be in place. I actually purchase three of these and the other 2 were new.
Conclusion: Since the Desktop 4000 is designed for Windows Vista, that’s the OS I used for testing. Installation was simple, no complications to speak of. Once completed, you will have Microsoft Mouse and Microsoft Keyboard icons on the desktop, which are essentially revamped versions of the built-in tools Windows already offers.
Pros: Great looking product, Keyboard layout, Comfortable keyboard arm rest, Keeps a great connection
Cons: Software could be more robust, Mouse scroll wheel doesn’t give you tight control, Ergonomic/Ambidextrous design might turn a few away
