Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical
13 July 2013
Excerpt: It moves the pointer. It moves the pointer really, quite slowly.I was working with a generic Ů.00 optical mouse that worked fine ahead of it started to fail (the label is worn off, so I can't give a model). I believed this more high priced Microsoft mouse would be a good replacement, but it is not! Even following setting the pointer speed to the maximum in Windows XP, the pointer moves quite gradually.
Excerpt: It does what it's supposed to do. The scroll wheel is way too sensitive and loose.Even right after modifying the settings the mouse would move my screen with the slightest touch, the actual scroll wheel is truly really loose so that may have been the cause for it. Other than that the aforementioned challenge the mouse worked fine. Not a good mouse, but not a terrible mouse either.
Excerpt: wonderful for the 1st 9 months, but.................. .......began freezing up immediately after that, such as it just would stop moving for a feww seconds but trhe light stays on, i caled microsoft, but they mentioned they have noticed inctances of this, but becoming that i dont have a proof of puechase, they cant replace it. this gets extremely annoying, especailly wen those few seconds mean life or death in BF2 or C&C zero hour.
Excerpt: Works, it's black. I have no concept when they decided to adjust the continual red light and opt for a light that flashes when you move the mouse, but feel it's annoying. Possibly it's broken, but my roommate says his has generally done that. Also, there is a clicking noise in it when I move it side to side. My old 1 seems a lot much more stable and sturdy.
Summary: Different people have different susceptibilities to RSI, so not everyone would be obviously affected by this, at least in the short term, but the highly domed shape coupled with the broadening towards the user causes the base of the thumb to be just slightly forced outwards. This is not enough to be noticed as anything significant, until months or maybe years later, if you've been using the mouse a lot on a more or less daily basis.
Excerpt: Good feeling. High top quality. Doesn't function on plastic desk or work bench surface -- no tracking signal at all. Very poor on dinning table cloth. On the contrary, some genuinely low-cost optical mice, possibly with newer technologies, work properly on all these surfaces! You have to be cautious if the optical mouse demands to be on a lot of type of surfaces. Only some new chips enable the laser to detect specail surfaces.
Excerpt: It does almost every thing proper. There isn't actually that substantially that can go bad with a mouse although... Scroll wheel is definitely annoying, if i leave it nonetheless more than a page it will just randomly scroll up right after like 10 seconds. Get's really annoying. In fact it just did it suitable now. Go with logitech, devote a small more $ and purchase a razer, or some thing else with a working 3rd button/wheel.
