Summary: I've used lots of different MS mice. They all seem to be great mice with the exception of this one. I'm surprised it got so many good reviews. My previous mouse was a Logitec G5.
Pros: It's big. Long cord
Cons: This is the worst mouse I have ever used. Pointer speed was too slow even when I had it set to the max. The wheel seems to move on it's own sometimes. Buttons make a loud click sound and feel cheap. Shape hurts my wrist.
Summary: I bought this only because my second on the row R*z*r died within 1.5 year but my old 5 years MS mouse still alive. If you looking for any sort of Precise Gaming mouse - look elsewhere. All descriptions to pose this mouse as gaming (I read reviews and look at MS site) should not mislead you.
Pros: if you are looking for Gaming mouse - NONE I RMA this mouse with newegg and gona try something else.
Cons: TOO SLOW, at TOP speed settings it's at least 4 times less sensitive then cheapest 1800 DPI Salmosa. Cheap plastic, Buttons loose, Wheel feel loose too. Even my cheapest (five bucks) old Wheel Mouse Optical by same Microsoft makes me feel better - and actually only 1.5 times less sensitive at its...
Summary: I'm obviously disappointed and to make it worse, it'd cost me almost 50% of the purchase price to ship this back.
Pros: Looks great, has OSX drivers
Cons: Won't even light up. I've plugged this into 4 computers. (one Mac, one Ubuntu, two Windows XP) even after waiting for several minutes on each, the mouse would not light up, and was not detected by the OS. Honestly, how hard would it be to do at least SOME Q/A?
Summary: If u like steering with a pop can get this mouse it is huge and the buttons feel flimsy. I am going to try to get a refund i pluged my logitec back in that ive had for a year it is waaaaayy lighter then this trashie thing. I thought the old ball mouse was heavy this thing is heavier.
Summary: since the first day this mouse has giving me nothing but problems .it doesnt track that good and no matter which drivers i use ,and when i move the mouse fast it hangs on one side of the screen and skips around ......
Summary: this does not feel like a Microsoft mouse, the micro-switches are clunky, the wheel feels like its made of two house bricks wielded together and the flex is not that supple, it catches on everything, would not buy this again, I have two original Microsoft Intellimouse/mice!!
Summary: It took me (an experienced computer user of over 50 years) nearly an hour to force this product's software to install. Even then I'm not convinced it's done properly, though the mouse does in fact work (at last). I'd recommend any other manufacturer rather than Microsoft for this type of product.
Summary: When I tried to install the driver, I was told that it would have to uninstall existing software. It didn't say what software it wanted to remove or what would break in the process. My hunch is that Microsoft wanted to remove a rival mouse driver instead of co-existing with it, but I can't be sure.
