My favorite mouse
Chaz S., Newegg
28 October 2011
Pros: I've owned one of these for more than a year, and I just ordered another as a gift for a friend. This is hands down my favorite mouse. I like larger mice and this one fits my hands perfectly. It works on almost any surface too, great for if you like to use your computer while sitting on the couch...
Cons: If you aren't a fan of larger mice, then this isn't the one for you. I wish it had one of the micro usb adapters, but its relatively small and it doesn't take away from how great this mouse is.
Summary: This is the 1.0 version of Microsoft's Explorer Mouse (there is also a 2.0 version). At the moment downloading drivers from Microsoft is misleading. When you go to down load drivers for model 1.0, it only lists Windows 2000 and XP as being supported.
Pros: Works just fine. Rechargeable battery is a AA format, meaning that it can be replaced with another easy to find rechargeable battery a few years down the road.
Cons: Downloading drivers from Microsoft is misleading. See "Other thoughts" section below for solution. Suspect battery life will be shorter when compared to more conventional laser mice, meaning more frequent recharges.
Summary: This mouse came as a freebie with an HT Omega sound card I purchased, & honestly I figured if it was free it would be trash, but it was unexpectedly good. It is of the same quality of my other (preferred) Microsoft bluetrack mouse, and has nav buttons.
Pros: Bluetrack, rechargeable. Has navigation buttons. Also has side to side scroll on the wheel.
Cons: Although by design, you must remember to put the mouse on its cradle so it can be recharged. Forward nav button is on the left side of the mouse. This is only a negative if you are already accustomed to the standard MS arrangement of nav buttons on both sides, but is a moot point if you are a Log...
Summary: Not usually a big fan of Microsoft mice, but this one is OK in my book. And despite all these wonderful intelligent people who reviewed this moues, I found it works fine with XP and Windows 7, both 32bit and 64bit....performance wise and with software installed.
Pros: Not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from. I've bought 3 of these (not all from newegg) over the past few months and all of them have operated and looked flawless. Very good wireless mouse as long as you don't have a blue-light weakness! Accurate and smooth tracking, fairly big mouse f...
Cons: blue lights are a tad bit excessive and the charger looks and feels like it was designed by a 5 year old.
