works but annoying

Michael V., Newegg
4 February 2014
  • Summary: I like the feel of it but the non functional charger makes it a piece of junk. I'm going to be forced to replace it.
  • Pros: It is a very comfortable and ergonomic mouse.
  • Cons: The charger part of the mouse is useless. I had to start using regular batteries. It would not charge the 'rechargeable' battery consistently. I go through one A battery every two weeks.

Robert L., Newegg
8 July 2012
  • Pros: it's wireless. it works sometimes?
  • Cons: very jumpy mouse. works for a few minutes then gets flaky. If I redock it it's ok again for a few minutes. ugh. Definitely no good for gaming.

Eh, I want to go back to a wired mouse

Blake B., Newegg
31 March 2012
  • Pros: Fits great in the hand, feels natural even if my thumb wants to rest on the table rather than the indentation meant for it. I've had intellipoint mice for years, and this is probably my first departure from one.
  • Cons: No software drivers found anywhere. Installed on both windows 7 and windows 8 64 bit. I can't even find the drivers on MS's cryptic site. Mouse is super jumpy. And even with 32gb of ram, 8 cores, and solid state drives this little guy is lacking. I'm sure if I could find the correct dirver for it...

Just so you know....

Michael B., Newegg
20 March 2012
  • Summary: Customer Support live chat just hung up on me and closed out our chat. Way to go Newegg
  • Pros: This is my first feedback.....Sharp looking mouse....
  • Cons: OEM from Newegg....Generally retail and OEM products will include the exact same item. The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) acronym is used to denote equipment that is sold to resellers like Newegg for integration into systems. Also known as white or brown box products, these components are ...

Microsoft wireless mouse

Charles F., Newegg
24 May 2011
  • Summary: Mouse feels alright for right hand. Not sure how it is for lefties. Had to buy a cable shield to keep the cat away from the cord. The mouse seems sturdy enough to withstand smashing by frustrated wife when it would not work right. Removing and reinserting battery seems to set things right.
  • Pros: Good feel to mouse if you are right handed. Cat likes the cable to chew on. I got this mouse for free as a package deal and the price was right!
  • Cons: Cord came out of docking platform after 7 months. Mouse can freeze or exhibit erratic behavior which can only be solved by removing and reinserting battery. Cord seems attractive to cats. Removing the USB transmitter and placing it in the bottom of the mouse causes extra work but will shut down t...

  • Summary: Like most Microsoft peripherals (Xbox 360 wireless controller anyone?) this thing eats through batteries like crazy. Do yourself a favor and buy something from a company that knows how to make a USB device. Got this free with an APC - UPS unit, but they could have just kept it, to be honest.
  • Pros: Looks OK, nice blue light, Wireless.
  • Cons: Mouse can't recharge and be used at the same time, Rechargeable battery died almost completely after 2 days and won't recharge anymore, pain to get the battery compartment open, blue light can really mess up your eyes, tracking isn't actually on that great.

there is a reason why its so cheap!

  • Summary: i think it has potential, if microsoft improved on the battery life (big time) and fixed the hardware problems, this could actually be a useful product, until then .... hello logictec!
  • Pros: wireless, works on most surfaces (with issues of course) a bit larger hands can use it ( very few wireless mice are made for bigger hands) shaped well
  • Cons: 3 months into the use the middle wheel button couldnt be clicked any more, that is poor quality. also i got this mouse so that i can use it anywhere i want, guess what, it has a laging problem on my wooden table, not good, any common laser mouse would do better! not so good on battery, i have oth...

Windows 7 Users Need Not Apply

Ben H., Newegg
13 November 2010
  • Summary: You get what you pay for, I suppose. And since I didn't pay for it..! But as I said, seems like it'd be an awesome mouse, and wireless for those that are into that sort of thing. Good enough so that I won't try returning it.
  • Pros: Looks good, feels sturdy, and comes with a charger so you don't have to always be changing the battery. Very comfortable to hold.
  • Cons: Does not work for Windows 7. My current mouse (Razer DeathAdder) is on it's last legs, and I got this mouse for free with my sound card, so I decided why not? Windows installed the drivers, I put the CD in, and it immediately began "searching for a solution". The one it found was my version of Wi...

  • Summary: packaging blister was different from what is on the photos; this is the first mouse from microsoft which disappoints me.
  • Pros: charger looks good ergonomic not expensive
  • Cons: - glossy metallic paint around the bottom part is already falling off! - mouse wheel has no feedback at all and scratches something inside the mouse making strange sounds - black 'rubber' body part does not level with other pieces - doesn't work good in linux (sends 4 wheel scroll events for the ...
