Excerpt: when buying an input device either for your pc or your laptop, it's really hard to bypass Logitech's product. Logitech normally incorporate the most ingenious design on the market while the others can only be the followers. This portable notebook mice, features a 2.4GHz wireless receiver which can be tucked in from the back of the mouse. It takes one AA battery and it last for a reasonable period around a month under normal usage.
Excerpt: I have used a lot of logitech over the years. And as long as they are not the lowest tier products they are usually pretty solid. The same is true for this mouse. The logitech vx revolution is one of the more expensive portable mice in their lineup and is a very solid mouse. First this mouse uses Logitech old receiver technology and does not work with their Unifying receivers.
Great mouse! Greater mouse when caught at a discount!

Excerpt: Was not initially looking for a notebook mouse at the time (satisfied with the touchpad and had a small dinky mouse stored in the desk) but couldn't pass up the deal ($40 rebate).Decided to jump on it and give it a try. Can't lose much for a laser and cordless mouse. VX has definitely changed my notebook use. Now I try to use the mouse every chance I get. Can't imagine how I would use the PC w/o a mouse.
THIS IS A GREAT MOUSE... BUT THE PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Summary: I bought this mouse back in 2008, I paid $45.00 here on Amazon. I love this mouse, small enough to fit in your hand ergonomically, versatile. Unfortunately the wheel is just not responding anymore, so i wanted to buy another one...But holy cow! the price is just outrageous, that is almost a 240% incremented! Come on Logitech (and Amazon) are you out of you freaking mind?!
Summary: I've been using this mouse for the past 2.5 years. I mainly use the scroll wheel and the two side buttons - the others are placed awkwardly. The scroll wheel is great. You can switch it on fast scroll and it makes no sound and revolves freely. You can scroll through tens of pages if a couple of seconds with a flick of your finger. However, browsers such as Firefox (and others) allow you to load pages in a new tab by clicking with the wheel.
Summary: I've been using this mouse for over 3 years and it's still working fine! There are a few issues that I should point out. First, this mouse has material on the thumb rest and pads underneath that chafe off from overuse. The material stained my Fellowes 91741 Gel Wrist Rest and Mouse Pad - Graphite/Platinum . Second, I occasionally lose tracking while gaming and it's not due to low battery power.
Summary: Mod - I realize that not many people complain about connectivity issue. Maybe I had a bad draw or they fixed the issue. Now only if I can find it at the price I bought 3 years ago.. ----------------------------------------------------------------- You know this is priced at $63. Surely people complain about the price. It is overpriced. But was I lucky to find 1 at local Wal-Mart at less than $30.

Summary: Had this mouse a couple years, at least. It's a good mouse, never had any problems, but I'm not that happy with the contoured style it & so many others have nowadays. This style is supposedly more ergonomic, but it makes you curve your fingers to hold it. After several hours of use, I just want to have a rounded mouse I can rest my fingers on!! Also, the small scroll wheel, though it works well, gets tiring after lots of scrolling through Twitter & Facebook feeds, etc.
