I was wrong.........this does work with an iMac
16 October 2013
Summary: I had promised I would get back to you as it related to an alternative to the Apple Magic Mouse (which came with my iMac). Even though the V470 has been discontinued, and can't be found on the Logitech Support or Software download site, I was able to configure this mouse to work via Bluetooth with my iMac. So many of us have complained about having to press so hard on the Magic Mouse in order to do something as simple as a "Copy and Paste".....
Summary: I have used this mouse with my MacBook Pro for almost two years and it is hands down the best general purpose mouse I have ever used. It never looses a connection (Microsoft 5000 and 8000 drop connection with the same computer) and the battery lasts for months with daily use. I have never had any problem with a delay in response, even after setting idle for ten minutes. Very ergonomic and well built. Works fine with my new MacBook Air, too.
Summary: I was looking everywhere for a mouse that did not require me to use a "plug" or "dongle" that would tie up one of the USB ports on my Macbook Air. This is the PERFECT travel mouse for MacBook owners that want to pull a mouse out of their bag, turn on the switch and have it just work.
Summary: the Bluetooth feature is great for a power book where there is only 2 usb ports. no need to use a dongle. the action is great and the mouse actually seems to learn the surface. the longer it is used on a surface the better the tracking.
Summary: Bought a V470 for my MacPro, works great. My husband bought a Microsoft bluetooth mouse for his PC, wouldn't hold connection, terrible. So I bought another Logitech V470 for his PC, connected easily, holds connection, works very well. No more Microsoft mice for us.

Summary: I had one of these for a while. Then the wheel locked up. I tried to find replacements but they have been discontinued and all the replacements use Logitech's proprietary technology that forces you to deal with a dongle and give up one of your USB ports even if your computer has builtin Bluetooth which I think is stupid on Logitech's part. But the mouse is the perfect size, especially for laptops.
Summary: A great product that works on all surfaces, from my dining room table to my recliner chair arm. I love it that I don't have to dedicate a USB port (1 of 2) on my mac to an receiver for a mouse. I love Blue tooth.
Summary: This one goes great with any Mac. Typical Logitech reliability. First bluetooth mouse I have had in some time, as the first ones I tried a few years back always had problems and I stuck with the nano receiver mice. I gave bluetooth another chance with this one so I could free up a USB port, and the tech has matured and seems to be far more reliable than it used to be. No complaints whatsoever.
Summary: My laptop has bluetooth so why loose one USB port for a mouse when there is an excellent bluetooth mouse on the market? This is my second V470 (the first one got stolen with my bag) and I don't have a single issue with this product. It always connect and it's available very quickly for use.
