Trackman Marble - wireless version please?
Summary: I have been using the Trackman Marble for years and it has been a great product. Very reliable and I like the programmable features. However, I'd really like to have a wireless left-handed mouse - I'm right-handed but need a mouse that can also be used with my left hand to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.
Summary: On my second personal one and third overall(work) - only reason I cannot give 5 stars(should be rated at 4.9 !) is the iffy scroll thing which needs a bit of setting up - otherwise it is an excellent piece of kit - robust - stylish - and substantial enough to stay where it's put without being an obstruction on your desk or bench.
Summary: *Nearly* the perfect mouse. I switch between left and right all the time which helps manage my RSI. Plus the RSI is way, way less with this than with any other solution I've ever tried. I love the way that I can use this on a soft surface like pillows on my bed, or I can use it on a tiny tiny table like on a plane or train tray-table, because unlike other mice I don't need to move the whole thing around.
Summary: My wife and I have been using the Trackman for around 10 years at the office and home. The ONLY improvement we would like to see is making a wireless version compatible with the unifying receiver. Couple that with a wave keyboard - wow.
Summary: Tried my 1st trackball several years ago. Not gonna lie, there is a learning curve with this mouse. Once you take some time though, it really pays off! Less gripping/holding (like none) means it is easier on your hand/fingers. Speed is the 2nd best thing about it...allows you to do quicker work! That can save me time on a mouse. WIN-WIN. I even travel with it! Note: I bought a 1st one that lasted ~year.
Summary: I've been using the Trackman Marble for about 13 years and won't use a regular mouse at all. Every time I get another machine, I buy another Trackman. Some people have some old mice laying in a drawer. Not me I have extra Trackman Marbles. That being said, the thing that would make this trackbal perfect is if Logitech could make this a wireles device without changing the external design at all. The wireless options they have now are to bulky.
Summary: I have been using a Trackman Wheel for years and loved it. After recent hand surgery I needed something that I could use left handed. This unit worked out however the scroll function is rather disappointing. Very erratic between applications and browsers. Often will not work at all in IE9.
Summary: It is difficult to add new information to what has already been said about this trackball for the last several years. Trackballs are getting scarcer, but thankfully Logitech still makes this model and a few others. They have shown interest in updating at least one older model (the wonderful M570), but have left the humble Marble to roll slowly into obsolescence.
