  • Summary: At PCMag.com, reviewers pan the inconvenient button layout, saying its "odd design requires some adjustment," but at Gizmodo.com it is called "one of the best tracking mice." In a detailed review, CNET awards the Performance Mouse MX an Editors' Choice award. PCMag.com is impressed with the mouse's tracking laser but not with its button design. And both Macworld and Gizmodo.com find the mouse a pleasure to use.

  • Cons: Right-handed use only, Device pairing only works with Logitech products, Awkward button placement, Short battery life

It is very responsive and the battery lasts all day for me, which is roughly 12 hours of continuous use - I plug it in to charge every night. Logitech Performance Mouse MX

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: The Logitech Performance Mouse MX's high-tech tracking technology gives it functionality other mice can't easily match, but in a less-than-intuitive design.
  • Pros: Lots of programmable buttons. Usable on a wide variety of surfaces.
  • Cons: Odd design requires some adjustment. Button placement not always ideal. For right-handed use only. Included software gives fewer button-configuration options than Microsoft equivalent.

Hands On: Logitech Performance Mouse MX (Video)

Notebooks.com
5 April 2010
  • Excerpt: Some people are keyboarders; they love to do as much as they can from the comfort of their home-keys, only leaving that comfortable position when they absolutely have to. Me, I’m a Mouser. I proudly look to my mouse to handle as much as possible without letting go to swing my hands to the keyboard. This obsession with mousing is what led me to purchase the new Logitech Performance Mouse MX when my previous Logitech MX mouse died.

  • Excerpt: (1 items) If you’re like me and you like your mice big, beefy, and feature-filled, then there’s a chance you’ll like Logitech’s Performance Mouse MX . It’s very much like another Logitech mouse, the MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse ( ), but the Performance Mouse MX has a unique feature that is ideal if you wish to use a Logitech keyboard. The Performance Mouse MX is designed for right-handers (sorry, lefties).
  • Pros: Can use mouse while it is recharging, Scroll wheel can toggle between freewheel and ratcheted modes, Excellent tracking
  • Cons: Not designed for lefties, Some button quirkiness, Power hungry, Too big and heavy for some users, Tracking not fast enough for gamers

Logitech Performance Mouse MX (and More) Review

HardwareCentral
29 September 2009
  • Conclusion: The K350 has a firm, somewhat plasticky typing feel and a comfy rubberized palm rest. Multimedia control keys are centered above the function keys, accompanied by customizable launch keys for Windows Media Player and Media Center, the My Pictures folder, and Vista's Sidebar gadgets. Duplicating Logitech mice functions, document/image zoom and application flip controls are at the left edge, and one of the function keys (Fn-F10) performs the one-click search.
