Summary: Got this because it was a logitech and I have had good experiences with their products. It works when first plugged into the computer, then after a few minutes it will stop working. Unplug, replug, works for a while then quits. Optical light stays on. Tried troubleshooting, tried on another computer, same problem, tried Logitech website for updated drivers, none available. Tried yelling at it, no success.
Summary: I bought this mouse with my new laptop, back in May. By September, the scroll wheel was worn out, and scrolled the page slowly up and down. Very distracting. I contacted Logitech, and after some run around, they sent me a new one. I started using it mid-December. It's one month later, and the scroll wheel is doing the same thing.
Summary: This mouse does NOT have Darkfield technology to work on glass. Only two Logitech mice have Darkfield, as of Nov. 2012, the Anywhere MX and Performance MX. Do not believe the lying description. This is a basic, entry-level optical mouse you can get from Logitech's website for $8.99, or elsewhere on Amazon for $9.
Summary: Purchased this for my wife to replace her old, randomly clicking one. It was seen on her laptop for only 24 hours. I was out of town so of course I assumed my wife was doing something wrong and I would fix it when I got back in town. Nope. Won't be seen on any computer properly. I like Logitech. They make some good products. This is not one of them. Not worth sending back for the money I payed but the vendor probably knows that already.
Summary: It jumps and skips, you can be moving the mouse along the pad and the pointer will stop and start all the way. Return shipping costs more than the mouse, and they know that. Thats how they make their money. 2nd logitech mouse I have purchased that does this. I have an optical logitech mouse purchased many years ago, and it works wonderfully. But these new one are from china.
Summary: Barely got this mouse for 2 days and now it keeps scrolling down on it own and i can't scroll anymore. This is so annoying even just writing this is annoying me because the mouse keeps scrolling down while i write.
Logitech: Faulty software & lazy product support are driving down formerly good brand.

Summary: I've used Logitech products since the 1980s with pride and satisfaction. I used the M315 for over a year of increasing frustrations with the software creating scrolling and pointer control confusion. Twice or more daily resets of scrolling settings were required. After the frustrating performance of this mouse and the faulty assistance and indifference from Logitech support, I have purchased a Hewlett Packard X4000.
