Inexpensive, fairly durable, third button has left/right capabilities
12 April 2012
Summary: I've used MANY mice in my lifetime and Logitech always seems to be at the top of the list in all aspects. This may not be the most durable mouse, but it definitely lasts long enough for the price tag! With heavy use, I usually go through a mouse every two years. I purchased this particular model for the left and right functionality of the middle button and in Windows Vista and 7 it works perfectly.
Summary: Bought this to replace a 5 year-old Logitech wheel mouse. While the arch on the mouse could be a little higher, or the mouse itself a little bigger for hand comfort (I am a woman with average sized hands), generally this is a good mouse for a good price. Make sure to install the Logitech software as that will let you regulate the pointer speed which can be an issue with some optical mice. The software will also allow you to configure the mouse for left-handed use.
Summary: I have purchased several Logitech products. They are all inferior. The mouse is breaking down as many part of it are not functioning.I have only had it for a few months I also purchased their headphones and mic. for internet Skype use and the wiring on the mic went bad and the plastic around the head peice snapped. Poor workmanship and flimsy design. Never will purchase from them again.
Summary: This is not a 3 button mouse. They pretend that it is, but, the default is to use the middle mouse wheel as a zoom function. I'm currently trying to figure out how to override this behavior. I'm done buying Logitech and want to warn anyone else who might think they can get a 3 button mouse from Logitech that they don't make any. Alternatively, the mouse manufacturing field is now ripe for the downfall of Logitech.
