Summary: I wish all my computer stuff lasted as long and with as much consistancy as this mouse did. I have finally had to replace it, after 10 years it no longer recharges or holds a charge which is a bummer. Although I have small hands, the size of this is perfect, I have gotten so used to the forward and back buttons on the side of the controller and the ease of use on any surface.
Summary: Like some other people I'm only getting around to a review after about 7 years of steady use. This has been my work mouse and it has seen a very steady stream of use over the last several years. I used it so much I've worn the feet off it and the contacts have been scraped down to the point it won't charge anymore. Actually I've had charging problems with the mouse for the last few years.
Summary: I bought three of these in 2002 but am just getting around to writing a review in 2012. I gave two of them to the kids who over-used them in online video games for years, and kept one for myself - and I must admit I am a heavy user also (not games). We all loved this mouse from the beginning but what's most amazing is that all three mice are still working today in 2012. Both kids went off to college with their laptops and eventually my eldest graduated and got a job.
Summary: This mouse is definitely a work horse. I have had this mouse for at least 10 years without a problem. I have replaced the rechargeable batteries a couple of times and it just keeps on going. Don't use their install program -- just plug it in and let it go. It points accurately and is just a great mouse.
Summary: Great mouse if you and your kids can remember to put it back in the charger when you are done with it. Sucks when your kids leave it off and you go to use it and the battery is dead. I found the cord a little short, maybe 2 feet short, for the charger, not allowing me to put it where I wanted on my desk. Other than that it is great. However, I would probably go wired next time........ actually I would probably go cheapest optical, wired or not.
Summary: I've had this mouse for...actually...I don't know how long! There are worn spots where my thumb and forefinger go...and I've replaced the rechargeable batteries once...and it still WORKS GREAT! I've NEVER had any issues with this mouse, it is comfortable and EXTREMELY DURABLE. I use it everyday all day at work and the way things are going, I will still be using it up to the day I retire! Talk about dependable. Good Job Logitech!!!
Summary: This is one GREAT mouse. I own an online computer business so I'm at my PC for at least 12hrs a day, 7 days a week, and I been using mine for over FIVE YEARS and it still works flawlessly. That is A LOT of use! Plus I am very hard on mice (have a habit of "abusing" them when I get PO'd while at the PC, LoL). This is one incredibly well built mouse.
Summary: At first, the MX700 seems like a fantastic mouse, but shortly thereafter, it becomes frustrating enough to throw it against a wall. I have two of them, and they both suffer from recharging problems. I just came back from vacation, the MX7000 sat in the charger for 6 days. It should be full. What do I get? "Batteries are low in mouse" WTF?? To fix this, one has to either physically remove and reinsert the batteries, or change the wireless channel, which is odd in itself.
