not an office mouse

Summary: I am well aware that this is a gaming mouse, not an office one. Yet I am not gaming much, mostly working with code and document. The issue with this mouse for me is that the wheel is so small that it can't be use to open tabs, unlike most other, more conventional mice. It's fairly precise and ergonomic, the weight is right, but this wheel thing is a major drawback for my tasks.
Summary: Good size mouse with a lot of features. Good weight and button adjustability. I use it mainly for web surfing and general applications, but not much gaming, so I am not hard on my mouse. The problem I had with this mouse is that the rubber coating on the sides started blistering and peeling off. Basically there is a rubber film/ coating on the black parts of the mouse which give it its grippy feel and under that is just smooth plastic.
Summary: I purchased this mouse last year in December 2005. My primary use for it was for my laptop, playing my online games and surfing the web. I plugged it into the USB port. Works right out of the box. I never did install the software. I even bought a second one for my husband since he was still using the mouse that originally came with our desktop. A few months ago my mouse started acting up a bit. When I would click on something, the mouse would double click it.
Summary: After 6 months my MX518 developed a problem with the left button. The button still works, but there is a werid creaking/scraping tactile feeling when you press it. I believe this is due to internal plastic parts deforming with time. All this mouse was used for was light browsing. I loved the mouse, but this is the second Logitech mouse with button problems (G5 is the other). I will research Microsoft's offerings before buying another MX518.
Excerpt: Buttons program quite uncomplicated to keys like F12 and i hotkey a mouse important to f12 instend of some useless important binding the doe's on the mouse. Then in game I set like Rogues Kick attack to F12.. Simple as that. Mouse is so light..Further keys are too far up on the mouse I have to move my hand to reach the other keys from were I generally hold the mouse. Also the prime is seriously slippery so ur fingure's slide on it.
Excerpt: Great really feel for FPS gaming Doesnt hold up lengthy, 1 year commonly. Ive purchased four of these more than the course of a lot of years ƒ of them were the prior incarnations with a various model number).Type of crazy to maintain getting these due to the fact the appropriate click button typically dies following a year of intense gaming.
Excerpt: Clicks nicely. Beneficial High-quality. Sturdy if too lightly built. As well light and no adjustment for weight. Not for the ten% of us that are right handed. Speed not finely adjustable sufficient(for me). Could use one other button on prime.Dented look a bit adolescent. I got employed to a Fatal1ty mouse and was spoiled with its functions, but wanted a significantly more reliable item than the Creative Labs cheapo crapola. This was an high priced mouse.
Summary: MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse Eine Gaming Maus mit gutem Preis!
