Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse

The MX518 Optical Mouse by Logitech is a gaming-grade mouse. It is available in one colour, black.

Features

The MX518 Optical Mouse uses wired technology with a USB interface, a 4-pin USB Type A. The mouse employs optical movement detection and has a movement resolution of 1600dpi. It features the standard left and right buttons, two thumb buttons, an Application Switch button and two "other" buttons above and below the mouse wheel. The “other” buttons allows users to change the sensitivity of the mouse. The SetPoint software allows users to assign tasks to six of the eight mouse buttons. The software adds three basic configurable groups of functions: mouse buttons, mouse movements, and scrolling and pointer speeds, including pointer acceleration and pointer trails. The last group represents the optical mouse’s game settings. Three optical resolutions are available for user to choose from- 400dpi, 800dpi and 1600dpi. Upon installation of the SetPoint software that is provided when purchasing this mouse, users are given the option of five resolution points, ranging from 1600dpi to 400dpi, in 50dpi steps. Besides that, its image processing runs at a rate of 5.8 megapixels per second and the acceleration is stated to be 15G. In addition to this, it has expanded 16-bit data format that supports fast movements. Its gaming feet allows it to move with low friction on almost any type of surface. To install and setup the device, the user’s computer must have Windows XP, a CD drive and one USB port. The package contents upon purchase are as such: one optical mouse, a driver and a SetPoint software CD and a USB to PS2 adapter. The Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse comes with a three-year limited warranty.
