Logitech MX510 Optical Mouse

Mikhailtech
1 July 2007
  • Excerpt: Logitech never ceases to amaze me. Ever since the First Wheel Mouse I've been hooked. I'm particularly big on ergonomics (which explains why I still use my grimy hand-salsa'd finger-polished Microsoft Elite keyboard) so when I saw one of my classmates using an MX510 I knew I had to get one. Just to be like the cool kids. Of course he had a Mac, but that's forgivable. The point is, after years of using random Logitech products I've yet to be let down.
  • Pros: Beautiful design, Well thought out ergonomics, Cruise Control buttons, Unobtrusive forward/back buttons, Superb grip, Flawless tracking, Overall the best corded mouse I've used, Well worth the price
  • Cons: Left/right clicking is a bit loud

Logitech MX510 Review

  • Conclusion: It would be untrue to say there are not better options than this mouse out there, but for the looks, performance and cheap price that this option brings to the table you will have to either dislike the feel of the mouse completely to not find it better than many of it's competitors. If you already own an MX500 there is little gain from buying the MX510 unless you like the colour, I did so I bought two.

Logitech MX510 Performance Optical Mouse

PC Magazine
22 March 2006
  • Excerpt: With the Logitech MX510 Performance Optical Mouse, the company upped the ante for gaming mice by boosting the MX Optical Engine to 5.8 megapixels and a hefty 12-bit data path: This assures lightning-fast response times and accurate pointer movement. It might be overkill for a business user, but this mouse will escalate a LAN party to a frag fest. The MX510 is tethered to your PC via USB—but wires are a frugal gamer's best friend.

  • Excerpt: Hi, my name is Kaleb Rutherford and I am addicted to computer games. Despite my late night gaming marathons trying to get my First Person Shooter, Real Time Strategy, or Massively Multiplayer Online Game skills honed in, I have had a problem. None of the mice I have used with my computer have been precise or accurate enough to keep up with my games. While this does give me a built in excuse to say in a game like "DARN MOUSE!

  • Conclusion: My thoughts on the MX-510 are overall are very good. The quality of this mouse is nothing but superb, the responsivness and movement are top notch. I genuinally can’t wait to try this mouse out on Battlefield 2. Also I like the fact it doesent try to impress with flashy lights or gamer tag or approvals, Logitech have made a great mouse and they know it!
  • Pros: Good weight, Great visual impact, Great ergonomic design, Superb fluid movement
  • Cons: Not built for left handed users, Price isn’t too great
