Excerpt: Introduction Logitech MX510 There is a very specific niche in the computer hardware market for gamers. This particular hardware forte has become an essential part amongst gamers' gaming machines. Manufacturers are creating specialty products that combine performance, quality and style for this particular market. This piece of hardware is the age old mouse. Any true gamer realizes how important a high quality mouse is for their gaming needs.
Excerpt: Logitech never ceases to amaze me. Ever since the First Wheel Mouse I've been hooked. I'm particularly big on ergonomics (which explains why I still use my grimy hand-salsa'd finger-polished Microsoft Elite keyboard) so when I saw one of my classmates using an MX510 I knew I had to get one. Just to be like the cool kids. Of course he had a Mac, but that's forgivable. The point is, after years of using random Logitech products I've yet to be let down.
Pros: Beautiful design, Well thought out ergonomics, Cruise Control buttons, Unobtrusive forward/back buttons, Superb grip, Flawless tracking, Overall the best corded mouse I've used, Well worth the price
Conclusion: It would be untrue to say there are not better options than this mouse out there, but for the looks, performance and cheap price that this option brings to the table you will have to either dislike the feel of the mouse completely to not find it better than many of it's competitors. If you already own an MX500 there is little gain from buying the MX510 unless you like the colour, I did so I bought two.
Excerpt: Hi, my name is Kaleb Rutherford and I am addicted to computer games. Despite my late night gaming marathons trying to get my First Person Shooter, Real Time Strategy, or Massively Multiplayer Online Game skills honed in, I have had a problem. None of the mice I have used with my computer have been precise or accurate enough to keep up with my games. While this does give me a built in excuse to say in a game like "DARN MOUSE!
Excerpt: More than 20 years ago Logitech introduced their first mouse to the computing industry in 1981. For the next 18 years Logitech mice tracked motion using the now familiar ball-based mechanical system. In 1995 Logitech released its first optical sensing technology for trackballs.
Excerpt: The MX510 should definitely be on the "Must Have" list for any gamer that wants to have the best and most precise gaming experience possible. Although it won't turn you into the fragging nightmare feared worldwide, it will definitely help bring a lot better control to your gaming environment.
