"Middle click button too stiff"

incidentflux, CNET
26 December 2010
  • Pros: Generally feels well built, because I got upset and slammed the mouse upside down couple of times to soften the middle click button.
  • Cons: Middle click button is too stiff and really caused physical pain if you have already some form carpel tunnel.

  • Summary: This is a great product and I now have 3 out of 4 computers being operated by them. Purchased one for a desktop 2 years ago and it's still going with no problems (everday use). I payed 30+ dollars for 1 (at another local retail chain) and could not pass up the chance to purchase 2 more for laptops at this price (under $15 each). The 2 extra buttons for navigating back/forward really spoil you. I would definitely recommend.

Does exactly what it should

  • Summary: The Logitech MX400 is my mouse of choice for several reasons. First off, I like the number of buttons. It has the basic three (left, right, middle), forward and back, and a basic scrollwheel. Any mouse I have ever used with more buttons than this has inevitably caused me grief as my large and sometimes clumsy hand has hit these buttons at random and usually highly unfortunate times. The tracking of the mouse is quite accurate.

"Quality Challenged"

svpilot, CNET
9 July 2009
  • Pros: Arrow goes where you put it on the screen.
  • Cons: Wears easily and its software is inadequate. The coating that your fingers rest on the mouse gets worn away in a short time due to natural skin acids.

Logitech MX 400 Performance Laser Mouse

Lanyon, REVIEW STREAM
4 August 2008
  • Excerpt: The Logitech MX 400 Performance Laser Mouse has turned out to be a very solid purchase for me. I have been using it for over a year now and am very pleased. I got it at a time when laser tracking was just hitting the market. Luckily, Logitech got it right the first time. I do quite a lot of graphic design and editing and have not had any problems to this day. The tracking is very smooth and accurate.

  • Summary: This mouse is a really good mouse. It is a high performance laser mouse and its doesn't have that stupid red laser glow underneath. Also its really precise and really good for intense gaming and lots of Photoshop any many other graphic works. Really recommended for PC users who are looking for a precise mouse. P.S. - I don't like wireless so this was 100% compatible with my choice.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Fast Response, Glides Smoothly, Great Features, Great for Photoshop, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: None -- Just great overal

"The perfect mouse"

jwagner14, CNET
11 October 2007
  • Pros: Laser technology (better movement detection, no annoying red light under mouse), never have to worry about batteries, great forward and back buttons, great scroll wheel, incredibly ergonomic
  • Cons: Having a cord can be a hassle for mobile computing.
