It works well on wood, mouse pads of any kind and even white surfaces (unlike optical mice). The dots per inch is somewhere around 1100 if I’m not mistaken, which is also quite superior to most optical mice. The ergonomics of the logitech MX 400 is also part of why this mouse is so fantastic. I have rather large hands, but this mouse still keeps me comfortable for long periods of time. Read more

  1. Excellent overall mouse

I intend on using this mouse for everyday work in addition to gaming. Considering how this mouse is corded and uses laser instead of optics, the response is considerably better than that of optic mice. The ergonomics are a little different from what I have used in the past, though I'm sure I will adjust to them. The wheel also scrolls smoothly. There were no problems for me in terms of software and whatnot. Overall, no complaints. Read more

  2. "Middle click button too stiff"

It it weren't for the stiff middle click button, this mouse is just okay. I'd prefer the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical any day. Read more

    • Generally feels well built, because I got upset and slammed the mouse upside down couple of times to soften the middle click button.
    • Middle click button is too stiff and really caused physical pain if you have already some form carpel tunnel.

This mouse is a really good mouse. It is a high performance laser mouse and its doesn't have that stupid red laser glow underneath. Also its really precise and really good for intense gaming and lots of Photoshop any many other graphic works. Really recommended for PC users who are looking for a precise mouse. P.S. - I don't like wireless so this was 100% compatible with my choice. Read more

    • Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Fast Response, Glides Smoothly, Great Features, Great for Photoshop, Works On Any Surface
    • None -- Just great overal
  4. Generally a good mouse

The mouse itself is quite big, its really made for desktops and although it'll work fine on laptops the mouse is quite large and the cord is lengthy so if you intend to use this mouse primarily on your laptop - it may fit the bill but the cord length may be a bit too big for some. This mouse uses laser tracking technology and I can see the big benefits of this over optical tracking. Read more

    • Side scrolling, some may appreciate the size of the mouse (especially for desktops)
    • Middle clicking the scroll wheel is difficult to do

This is a great product and I now have 3 out of 4 computers being operated by them. Purchased one for a desktop 2 years ago and it's still going with no problems (everday use). I payed 30+ dollars for 1 (at another local retail chain) and could not pass up the chance to purchase 2 more for laptops at this price (under $15 each). The 2 extra buttons for navigating back/forward really spoil you. I would definitely recommend. Read more
