Summary: This is the best mouse I have ever owned. Its so simple and easy to use, and the charge last an extremely long time. The new version of this mouse, which is the "Wireless performance mouse MX", does not come close to the build quality and feel in the hand that this one has. If you loved this mouse, you probably will not have the same love for the new version.
Save money, buy the MX Revolution 5500 bundle instead (same mouse!)

Summary: I love this mouse, and am on my third, but this third iteration is the bluetooth version from the bundle: Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard Saves you money based on the current price of the no longer made mouse, and since it's bluetooth, you no longer have to worry about losing the irreplaceable receiver if you take your mouse when traveling.
Unquestionably an excellent mouse, but why is it so expensive?

Summary: This mouse is excellent, and there is heavy debate about whether it's better than its successor, the Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX for PC and Mac . I've been very happy with both. The MX Performance mouse is quite a bit cheaper, but if you really want the MX Revolution mouse and don't want to spend $200+ on a mouse then I recommend looking at the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard .
Great Mouse, But Flawed Microswitch Gives It a Short Life

Summary: The good thing is that the MX Revolution is the best mouse I have ever used from a functionality standpoint. Unfortunately it has a major, fatal flaw that makes it a computer consumable - and an expensive one at that! Pros: 1) Excellent precision. The mouse tracks perfectly at very close work. No drifting, no lag time. I see some reviews here that indicate otherwise and that is usually due to interference from another wireless source nearby.
Summary: Pros: I've owned this awesome mouse for almost three years now. I payed over $100 back then. It has worked excellently for me. I have its receiver plugged into my keyboard. I am able to use it up to 25ft away. I have NEVER experienced any sporadic movement from it. The batteries are still strong even after three years of heavy use. Everyone that has used my computer has commented on how much they love my mouse.
Summary: Nearly didn't buy this mouse after looking at the top reviews on it here at Amazon. Then I noticed they were all written in 2006 or 2007.
In any case, here's some advice to get the most out of your mouse:
Fully uninstall any old Logitech Setpoint drivers before you start. The first time I just installed the newer drivers assuming it would uninstall the older driver if needed. Bad idea -you know what they say about assuming. LOL.
Summary: Things i don't like about this mouse:
1. the automatic fast scroll works beautifully in Internet Explorer, but only "OK" in Firefox.
2. The automatic fast scroll works sporadically in other apps such as Word. In fact the only place the fast scroll works reliably well is in Internet Explorer, which i don't use.
3. The thumb "wheel" is positioned too far forward. I have average size hands.
4. The thumb "wheel" is ergonomically uncomfortable.

Summary: I really enjoy this mouse. I work as a web developer, and wanted to reduce clutter on my desk. I primary chose it because it was wireless and came with a recharging station. I had only skimmed the feature list of it, but I am extremely impressed with it. I like how the scroll wheel is basically a fly-wheel design. If you give it a fast flick, it will disengage the clicking mechanism and act as a free-wheel allowing for very fast scrolling.
Summary: I originally bought the MX revolution back in March of last year. It seemed like a cool, multi-function mouse. It lasted about 4 months and then the battery light started flashing red. I contacted Logitech, and after having to spend $18 to ship the mouse back to them, and 4 weeks of waiting I got a replacement mouse and charger. That one only worked for about 3 months... the thing will not hold a charge. It works for about 10 minutes and then I have to recharge it.
