Excerpt: At first glance the Logitech MX Ait Wireless Mouse may come off as just a nice, sleek wireless mouse. It performs well and is comfortable to hold. The scrolling is done via sliding your finger across the center button (not pressin in) and works fairly well. There are also a few more buttons on the mouse that are fully customizable, which is a nide touch. The mouse comes with a charging dock.
Summary: I love this mouse, used it for a projector set-up and it has always treated me well. Some people seem to have problems with the sensitivity of it but I think it works very well. You can recalibrate it (for when it moves by its own accord) by moving it to the corner of the screen and then it tracks perfectly again. Couldn't rate this mouse more highly, surprised to see there are some bad reviews, probably the best gadget I own.
Summary: I was very dubious about this product but decided it was worth a try. I have been amazed by its quality and facility, once one has become used to it and remember to set your own settings in the mouse settings programme that Logitech provide. Remember also to charge it when not using it. Overnight is best as the battery will last a whole day even with quite heavy use.
Summary: I've been using the MX Air for at least 18 months now, and came to Amazon again today to see about ordering a second. The gyroscopic cursor control is very easy and natural once you've dialled down the movement sensitivity, but it does require you to instruct people in its proper use when they first pick it up. Hold it like you're shaking hands, and use subtle movements.
Basic features work, but problems with 'wand gesture' features
27 January 2011
Summary: Overall the mouse is very good. However, unfortunately for me the 'wand gesture' features are so unreliable as to render them useless. Instead I am just using it to point and click, like a Wii remote. For this it works fine. It is just a shame that the more advanced features do not work. I am using Vista Home Premium 32bit running on a 64bit machine. If you buy this mouse I hope that you have more luck than I've had.
Summary: I've had this mouse for approx 2 years now and it's probably the best £100 (at the time) I've spent. It works almost perfectly, just the very occasional lag, and is great for sitting back in your chair and surfing. It looks great, the dock works flawlessly, it's got gestures for fast forwarding/rewinding etc your music, and it's just so cool! It's been dropped many times and survived but for the chrome at the bottom peeling a bit.
Summary: I Didn't Purchase this from amazon (Sorry Guys) However I do own one, and it is without a doubt, THE BEST mouse I have owned. Previously had the MX Revolution, but this mouse is awesome. I love the air gestures, Especially Volume, love the digital scroll too, much better than scroll wheels! In short, this mouse is worth every penny!
Summary: I will begin this review by acknowledging the excellence of this Logitech Product. For me Logitech have been the innovators in recent years... investing in the kinds of technology I like to buy. From SqueezeBox to their Camera network and now this Mouse and the Dinovo Keyboard, all come with excellent quality, thoughtful accessories and look great around the house. In this case the MX Air is a great mouse for a Home Media PC. This is how I use it.
