Logitech's MX Air is undoubtedly one of the best mice ever designed. If you must have the best, this is it: It's a pleasure to use both on the desk and in the air. But it's also the most expensive mouse that's not covered in gold or diamonds. Read more

    • Excellent design and ergonomics. Near-flawless implementation both on the desk and in the air.
    • Pricey. Slight delay in "takeoff" from desk to air. Concept begs for more software. No Mac support.

The MX Air soars onto the scene as arguably the coolest mouse in the history of the universe. Its dual use design allows it to function on flat surfaces like a regular mouse, or wielded in the air like a remote. Well, a remote that can sense gestures and zap input from up to 30 feet away. Artfully designed, its customizable buttons are translucent and glow soft amber – a nice compliment to the mirror black finish. Read more

So, is there a valid reason to go out and buy this mouse that has been available for almost a year now? Judging by current pricing, which is barely $20 less than its initial MSRP, there is still some demand for this uber wireless mouse. Naturally, HTPC users should be flocking to this technology. With custom settings and volume and play/pause buttons, MX Air is aimed directly at the home media market. Read more

  1. Good mouse for Windows and Linux

I've had it installed for an hour and am getting comfortable with it. Tried it with my Win 7 x64 PC and my 32-bit Linux laptop. My Win PC has a somewhat large screen but, to use the Air Mouse at a distance, I will either have to decrease the resolution of the monitor or get a bigger monitor. Took me a little while to figure out to install the Air Mouse Linux driver and how to use it. Read more

I bought this 7 months ago when it was on sale for $65.00. I only really use this mouse when I watch movies, which is fine considering that I spend most of my time playing videos on my computer. That being said, the regular mouse feature of the MX Air works perfectly. Read more

It seems professional reviewers love this thing while consumers aren't too pleased. My opinion falls in the middle but more to the side of loving the innovation and being pleased with the implementation. Before buying this mouse, I used a laser mouse either on my coffee table or the sofa. Either way, my wrist would hurt after a while. So I was excited when I finally got this. Read more

The Logitech MX Air is a mouse from Logitech whereby you can use it in mid-air to control the mouse pointer. The mouse is gloss black with some chrome underneath (they give you a cleaning cloth). The LEDs or lights are not visible until the mouse is in use. When active, the labels glow orange, which is very elegant looking. The wireless runs at 2.4GHz so the mouse has a good range and less chance of interference. It's rechargeable so no batteries to deal with. Read more

The product is perfect and easy to use anywhere you like. After bought it I plugged it into it's charger for couple of hours and thereafter start to use it. What make me exciting about this product is it's flexibility of use in the air like the game joysticks. Meaning even if you are on the bed simply I can hanging it on the air like a remote control and being able to move the cursor on the computer screen wherever direction I like. Read more

The MX Air’s most touted feature is its Freespace motion sensing technology. Because of this, users can control a computer’s cursor and click, scroll, and surf through mid-air hand gestures. Hand gestures can also be used to control playback, volume, and other functions of PC-based media.

The mouse, which comes in a glossy black and silver color combination, can be used with both PCs and Macs. It is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. When using it on Windows, users can benefit from MenuCast on-screen menus that allow them to control multimedia applications as well as web browsers. Among the supported multimedia applications that support MenuCast are Apple iTunes, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, Rhapsody, Winamp, Intervideo WinDVD, ACDSee, Adobe Photoshop Album, Windows Photo Gallery, and Windows Picture Viewer. Web browsers that support it include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, and Opera.

The Logitech MX Air is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery and has an operating range of 30 feet. It ships with a recharging station, a 2.4GHz wireless micro-receiver that connects through USB, an AC power cord, a Logitech SetPoint software CD, and a polishing cloth.
