Not worth it

Kathleen M., Newegg
22 September 2014
  • Summary: Like many others, I have had the double click/no drag start happening after about 8 months. When I contacted CS, I was given a long list of things to try; everything from clean the thing to using it on another computer.
  • Pros: Trackball tech is wonderful for the hand Arrangement of the ball and buttons make it intuitive to use
  • Cons: The battery lasts longer than the buttons Logitech customer service is spotty in dealing with problems

disappointed in size and strength

trackball mouse user, Office Depot
21 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Just bought it and am disappointed in its size. Would have liked something physically stronger and larger. Previously had a Microsoft cable, large ball. It was strong and long-term wonderful. Was this M570 designed for a youth or woman? Does not provide the rest and ease of a my previous trackball.
  • Pros: wireless
  • Cons: Quality, uncomfortable

Logitech M570

Robert F., Newegg
6 April 2014
  • Summary: If you're used to using the calypso (T-RB22), you're going to be disappointed in this product. For some reason, Logitech has determined that their customers didn't need to have the 8 buttons they're used to, and put only 5, of which only three are programmable.
  • Pros: Wireless trackball
  • Cons: only 5 buttons rather than the previous product

Drafting Dept didn't like them...

BJ, Staples
17 January 2014
  • Excerpt: For the precision needed in drafting, this was a really bad choice. The button configuration was great, but the track ball was not smooth and would jump from one spot to another. They tried using them for three weeks before they just gave up.
  • Pros: Comfortable Design, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: Inaccurate Tracking, Slow Response

Freezes and Stutters

Kevin W., Newegg
13 January 2014
  • Summary: I've used the old, wired Logitech trackball for years and it was great until the buttons gave out. I wish they still made the wired kind. Wireless is unnecessary, requires batteries and is prone to interference.
  • Pros: It's a trackball.
  • Cons: It stutters and freezes. The logitech forum indicates this is a common problem with no solution. Even though the freezing is rare, it makes the mouse worthless.
