DOA

Lawrence C., Newegg
8 May 2015
  • Summary: For what I paid its not worth additional effort /time to try to replace.
  • Pros: Comfortable three button portable mouse.
  • Cons: This unit was dead on arrival, not the color ordered, took three weeks to arrive (turns out it shipped from China).

middle click broken 34 days in

Robert M., Newegg
24 August 2012
  • Summary: I gave them a 5 egg review on my 2nd day of having it for the ergonomic feature and the tilt wheel... I'm so mad at this company right now...
  • Pros: I'm so mad at this company right now...
  • Cons: The middle click is broken on the cheap-sauce mouse. I'm not even using it for gaming, I'm just doing web research! Even when this mouse was working, it has a feature where it goes to sleep if you haven't moved it within 10seconds. It's extremely annoying. You can't disable this feature.

Nice while it lasted

Amanda L., Newegg

  • Summary: If you're looking for a wireless mouse I suggest looking elsewhere. These mice can be a bit jerky if you have a busy workstation. I only used it on a general use computer because it wasn't reliable enough to use on a gaming computer. Well, maybe Internet Checkers but not much else.
  • Pros: When it works it's great. I had it running with a Logitech keyboard and getting rid of the wires from both with just a very small USB unifying device is very nice.
  • Cons: I've had two of these mice and neither made it past a year.

Terrible Mouse

Seong C., Newegg
20 June 2012
  • Summary: I expect a mouse to have quite a bit of precision. It is infact, one of two plug in peripherals that provide interaction between the user and computer. Unfortunately, this Logitech mouse does not make a good connection with the USB receiver which causes erratic behavior.
  • Pros: Fits well in the hand. Battery life is great.
  • Cons: Scroll is very inconsistent. Sometimes the scroll won't work at all and other times, it will scroll fine. Laser tracking is terrible. Not sure what it is but the mouse does not make a very good connection with the USB receiver. The mouse cursor will sometimes move slowly and then randomly speed u...

defective

Robert J., Newegg
27 February 2012
  • Pros: Nice comfortable feel. Smooth tracking and responsive. Purchased for a laptop.
  • Cons: Defective scroll wheel resulted in return/replacement. Wheel feels like it is out of round and it binds. I have never had this problem with a Logitech mouse and this is about the 20th one that I have purchased. I hope the replacement is better.

Disappointing

Matt J., Newegg
5 October 2011
  • Summary: I've only used it for a little bit (less than a day) so I'll give it another week or two before I decide what I'm going to do with this thing.
  • Pros: None yet.
  • Cons: Very small, I don't think you understand how small this thing is, at least I didn't. The pictures on the sites and the reviews made this seem like a more normal sized mouse, but it's so small it hurts my hand. And I'm not a 'I need a giant mouse' guy. The tracking on this thing is very very bad. ...

Disposable

Anonymous, Newegg
3 October 2011
  • Summary: Got 4 of these as stocking stuffers last year. Mine went bad after 2 months. I figured 1 of 4 failed.... Let me try again, so I ordered another one. My second mouse also lasted 2 months. It was only then that I found out all my other family members mice had quit working long before.
  • Pros: Good short term/light use mouse.
  • Cons: Only good for short term/light use. Within a short period all five mice experienced inability to drag items, a single click was interpreted as a double click and constant freezing.

Cheap

Michael C., Newegg
20 August 2011
  • Pros: Loved the size and the small receiver.
  • Cons: I've now had 4 Logitech mice go bad on me in the past year and a half. Three of them were this M505. The First one just died. The Second one started double clicking on a single click. And the Third one just started skipping wildly across the screen. So ticked off at this junk. Back to microsoft m...

Serious tracking issues

Anonymous, Newegg
4 July 2011
  • Pros: Uses Logitech's Unifying wireless technology
  • Cons: Horrible tracking of movement. As I write this the mouse is stationary and the pointer is scooting over to the left side of the screen. I can even pick the mouse up so it is not resting on a surface and the pointer continues to move. Other times small movements are not detected at all. Took four ...

Awful

Amanda L., Newegg
20 May 2011
  • Summary: I use this mouse just for my server with no gaming or precision work at all and I'm so disappointed because I have never had a problem with anything from Logitech before. I'm typing on one of their wireless keyboards right now and I bought the mouse to match with it to eliminate some wires off my...
  • Pros: It's nice looking and has a nice feel. A bit heavy with two AA batteries something to consider if you are using this for long periods of time.
  • Cons: Being heavy is something that I knew would be it's only problem. Unfortunately it's not. The mouse has a very hard time tracking and freezing in spots. On the mouse pad (I've used 4 different types of different materials) it has dead spots where it will not track. When trying to do any precise wo...
