Feels as comfortable as the old one, but problem with the scrolling wheel...........

Summary: Well, I had a M325 before they redesigned the scrolling wheel. The only reason I bought this again was because I actually lost that one. With that said, this one is just as comfortable as the one I had before. The only problem is that I don't like the scrolling wheel. It feels too loose and it sometimes double clicks(you can feel it) when you're pressing it on an angle. This can cause me to go back to the previous page when browsing the internet.
Cons: After 2 months the unifying receiver would start to not work 8 out of 10 times. Now it just doesn't work at all. I've downloaded the unifying software from Logitech, and it does not detect the receiver (just like windows does not either). No errors in events log and nothing under device manager. I am fairly sure that it is a dead receiver (the mouse still gets its green light when I turn it on, which probably is no indication of it working but only the battery status)...
Summary: I have used Logitech mice for many years and have been very happy with them - until I got this M325. No matter what settings I used the screens etc just kept jumping. I contacted the company and after determining there was a problem - they sent me a replacement - which did the same thing. There's a defect in the scrolling mechanism. Now I've gone back to using some of my older Logitech mice and have also ordered another brand to see if that will work better.
Summary: Okay. Yes. The scroll wheel. It is awful. I did a cursory look through the other reviews about it. Yes, you can remap it and adjust the lines per step in software. This is not the problem. It's that it doesn't have any mechanical detents at all, or absurdly small ones (the micro-precise marketing), which is even worse. I cannot control anything carefully with this wheel; the most infinitesimal movement makes the wheel activate several steps.
Summary: I purposely bought this for its smaller size, as I wanted it for my laptop. That part is fine. But, for whatever reason, Logitech has made the scroll wheel much too sensitive. The slightest touch makes it move, scrolling the screen or web page unexpectedly. I've been using the mouse for almost four weeks, and haven't been able to get used to it yet. I may be forced to buy another mouse.
Summary: I primarily purchased this because of size since I have little hands. On the sides of the mouse, there is rubber for easier grip but everything is glossy. The right and left buttons on top of the mouse used for clicking, is tooo glossy. It causes you to leave sweat marks on it and thus fading the design over a period of time. Not very good for everyday use for me.
