WTH Logitech?

Johnathan P., Newegg
18 February 2010
  • Summary: Unless you hold the mouse like a claw, this has got to be one of the worse mice (mouses) to use. Ignoring the ugly aesthetics (that must of been designed by a 14 year old), it will not feel right for the majority of right-handed users.
  • Pros: Great tracking, okay amount of buttons, saves different profiles internally, battery status, customized weights
  • Cons: Ergonomics, Aesthetics

Good if you don't have carpal tunnel

Anonymous, Newegg
7 January 2010
  • Summary: Like I said great for the young with good reflexes and hand coordination! Mine sits in a box now collecting dust. So for me it was a waste of 90 bucks, and to be honest I don't think it was worth that much. Maybe 60 bucks would have been a good price it it wasn't for the bad cover.
  • Pros: Very sensitive! Top notch tracking! Removable weights! Replaceable covers!
  • Cons: To sensitive especially the buttons, which would be good for the young avid gamer, but for us oldies with carpal tunnel syndrome it sucks! Also the velvety feeling cover is painted on, so after a very short time the stuff wears off. Mine only took about 3 months.

Great mouse while it lasts

Keenan L., Newegg
12 December 2009
  • Summary: I have seen other people say that their usb cable has gone bad with kinks in the cable also, but I don't know how frequent this occurrence is so if you are looking for a great mouse this is a winner if you don't run into the problems I had
  • Pros: The mouse was great for my needs...mostly gaming. It is by far the best mouse I have had so far. Works great with my Icemat mousepad. I think it feels great in my hand. I never really used the weight adjustments, but it is a nice feature. The dpi adjustment could be in a better position, but once...
  • Cons: Although performance was just what I was looking for, the mouse only lasted about a year and a half. Although it was somewhat my fault because when I received the mouse the cord had a large kink formed in it. I should have returned it then. I really thought nothing of it since the mouse worked fi...

Not bad, but not great

FRANCIS D., Newegg
28 November 2009
  • Pros: Great response and the adjustable sensitivity is great when you need to switch between gaming and business needs. The shape is comfortable with little fatigue after long hours of use. The cord is long and made with a really nice braided outer shell.
  • Cons: After a few months of use, I noticed the outer rubberized coating breaking down. It begins peeling off from the areas where there's heavy contact with your skin. I've had the mouse for well over a year now and the peeling makes it look like a mess. I would have expected a more durable outer coati...

Do not bend the wires!

Anonymous, Newegg
8 October 2009
  • Summary: Do not buy this mouse if you will not be able to keep the wires perfectly level. Frequent bending of the wires will cause a sever in the cord and the mouse will no longer work. This happened to my original purchase and the replacement.
  • Pros: * High precision * Tracks well on a variety of surfaces * High quality feel * Logitech will replace a broken mouse without giving you the run around
  • Cons: * Cord breaks easily * Middle mouse button requires too much pressure to press

Great mouse but...

Justin R., Newegg
25 September 2009
  • Summary: I will probably buy another one because i liked it so much, but i am still dissapointed. i thought it might be a driver problem, but i switched it to a win xp machine (from win vista) and it did the same thing. (i tried new drivers, old drivers and no drivers with the same result)
  • Pros: Excellent mouse for gaming. High resolution, comfortable, just the right amount of buttons, works on any surface...
  • Cons: After using for about 9 months the left mouse button (the important one) has started double-clicking on a single click. It started happening a week ago doing it maybe once or twice an hour but now the mouse is almost unusable as it opens files instead of selecting them and it is impossible to cli...

Peeling

Anonymous, Newegg
27 July 2009
  • Pros: Good mouse overall for claw grip, everything works well.
  • Cons: Cord is too stiff, to the point where it causes resistance and gets caught on things, not a problem with the G7. Additionally, the smooth surface coating will peel to the bare plastic if your sweat gets under it, though this issue is fixed by a replacement from Logitech apparently.

Nice mouse but overpriced

Timothy C., Newegg
24 July 2009
  • Summary: I didn't buy this from newegg, but another store. Like another person just posted, the wheel click button is WAY too stiff and hard to push. That is really uncalled for considering this is Logitech. Its also noisy, making the scroll wheel sound and feel cheap.
  • Pros: Nice size, looks nice, and configurable including the LED color used.
  • Cons: Way too stiff of a wheel button, and moving the scroll wheel is noisy compared to my previous XG Gaming mouse. The cord is also too stiff.
