Summary: I got this mouse for my birthday last year and am approaching one year of use. At first I was thrilled because I had borrowed an MX518 for a while from someone, but had to give it back. PROS: -Larger size (A bit smaller than MX518, which is about right for me) -Wired (didn't want to mess with batteries in the middle of things) -Programmable side buttons that are easy to reach -Large click area for both mouse buttons and adjustable weights CONS: -Cord tends to snag on...
Summary: I have used this product for a little while now, and the cord has begun to break, exposing wires near where the cord meets the mouse. The mouse will cut in and out from time to time, making use difficult. I really expected more durability out of a braided cord like this...
Summary: It's a really good product, but the thing that's bothering me is that the software for mac doesn't function as it should. For exemple you can't press two buttons at the same time (like scoping en shoting won't work when the software is on). So I also can't drag files while switching programs... This is the only thing that's really bad, the rest of this product is pure quallity.
Summary: I love the feel and portential but I thought this mouse would improve may DOD gaming experience. I wore out my old MX mouse. I've worn out many logitech mice over the years. When shooting the left button doesn't register half the time or it registers a right button push. Not what I want in the heat of a battle. I'm getting whipped all the time now. I'm thinking of returning this G500s and trying a different brand for the first time.
Summary: I used a G500 for about 4 years before its left-click started registering as a double-click more than half the time. When I started shopping for a new one, the logical choice for me was the exact same mouse I'd already had that had been everything I wanted it to be. I see that they've changed the overall look of the product, looks nice, same features, go for it!
Excerpt: Before this mouse I was using the G9, which I was pretty pleased with on the whole; but I really couldn't stand the buttons located underneath. This mouse locates the hyper-scroll (which is an excellent and essential feature) button on top, which is great, but there is no button to change profiles, because the mouse has no internal memory.
Summary: I don't know why people would give this mouse such Praise! I have owned Logtech Mice products before and to be honest This mouse should Not! carry logitechs name. It has a cheap feel. And the weights really don't improve the feel much either. Yes it has adjustable DPI! Yes it has buttons that can be programed. In 2 weeks the scroll lock shift button broke under normal use. So now I have to ship it back to Logitech for replacement.
