Excerpt: The Logitech G5 Mouse needs no introduction, everybody’s heard about it and lots of hardcore gamers are thinking of buying it, but should you? Well, keep reading and you’ll find out. The Logitech G5 mouse has 2000 Dots per inch, impressive, no?
Summary: I believe this mouse represents the pinacle of design/function that logitech has produced in the past 7 years. It has made it through first person shooters, mmos, rts, and years of design and cad work. The design of the mouse is perfect for my hand, though a bigger person might take issue with this mouse slight smaller than standard frame. The curves are in the right place so my thumb and pointer fall on the corresponding buttons.
Summary: Coming from a MX518 I really didn't like this mouse, and never really grew into it. the tortoiseshell texture is kind of weird, I liked the way it looked esthetically though. cloth cord was a nice upgrade over the one on the MX. So explain something to me, how can I use the 518 for years then hate this, they are literally built on the same body, I find it hard to believe it comes down to the texture, so it must be the laser.
Summary: I've tried quite a few including the G500, which I still own and use at work, the Cyborg Rat 7 (gimmicks nothing more), the Razer Naga (some heft please), the G700 (ehh) and I've always come back to my tried and true G5. I use all buttons including the side-scroll buttons and, combined with the weight and perfect ergos, this mouse has just worked perfect from jump start.
Summary: My logitech wireless mouse died and I had a few problems with connection issues. So I decided I would go back to a wire mouse. I want a mouse that had almost the exact same button setup as my wireless mouse. Friend of mine has the MX5** version. I was looking for that one put I didn't chose it because of the color schemes that amazon was selling at the time. I am very picky. So I went with the G5 instead. I am very happy that I bought this mouse instead.
Summary: This is quite possibly the best mouse I've ever had. I used to use it at school a lot and really liked it, as they had these in one of the computer labs there. After my old mouse died on me, I decided to give this one a try since I had already used it before and found it to be much better.
