The Logitech G5 Laser mouse comes with an adjustable weight cartridge. This provides thousands of variations in weight and allows users to customize the mouse with heft and balance suited to them. Up to 36 grams of additional weight can be used. Apart from that, the mouse also has adjustable sensitivity. Users can shift from pixel-precise targeting to lightning-fast maneuvers, without pausing the action. There are three available sensitivity levels- 400, 800 and 2000 dpi. This feature can be accessed before driver installation. Besides that, the G5 laser mouse has a full speed USB which can provide acceleration up to 1000 reports per second in a bidirectional connection. Its maximum acceleration is 20 grams while its maximum speed is stated to be between 45 and 65 inches per second, depending on the type of surface. Its image processing is at a rate of 6.4 mega pixels per second. What’s more, the device’s USB data format is 16bits per axis. The mouse has a comfort grip for right-handed users and polytetrafluoroethylene feet which have low friction, allowing it to glide across almost any surface. The software included, SetPoint, enables user to customize the mouse with advanced features such as game detection and in-game adjustable sensitivity (including independent x- and y-axis settings). The system requirements for the mouse are Windows 98, 2000, XP or Windows Vista, a CD-ROM drive and a USB port. The Logitech G5 Laser Mouse package contains one Logitech G5 Laser Mouse, an adjustable weight cartridge, tuning weights and case, a CD containing Logitech SetPoint software and an installation guide. The mouse has a three-year limited warranty.
