Very good replacement for the out of production MX 518

Summary: This replaces my MX G518 mouse that I had for years. I replaced it because the other was pretty scruffy looking and the sliding pads were falling off. It is easy to get used to since the shape and size feels the same. There the similarity ends. Pros: The new one has a much higher DPI that is not as useful as thought. Since I do computer graphics for a living, I thought this maybe useful. The old MX518 had a lower native DPI and it seemed always a bit low.
Excerpt: Have bought Logitech mice in the past. Bought this to use on a laptop instead of imprecise trackpad. Mouse is well built and is very comfortable to use. Tracks well especially with adjustable DPI settings. Mouse buttons are just right, not too stiff, but not too loose either. Also like the added customizable buttons. Even though it's still just a optical mouse and not a laser mouse, I would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: After having used this mouse for 2 months I must say I really enjoy using this mouse. I'm an gaming enthusiast and love learning everything I can about gaming peripherals and thought I'd share my experiences with this mouse. Max speed (these are the surfaces/mousepads I've tested with the Enotus Mouse Test @ 400CPI or DPI 1000Hz) Steel SeriesQCK+ (or any QCK cause the cloth is the same) = 4.6 m/s or 180 Inches/second XTRAC Ripper XXL = 3.2 m/s or 120 inches/second XTRAC...
Excellent wired mouse but held back by poor scroll wheel

Summary: This mouse works well with OS X and has three buttons that can be assigned to useful functions like mission control and showing the application widows. Pointing is precise and has no noticeable lag. All of the mouse buttons have a nice feel and the mouse is comfortable for right-handed use. The scroll wheel is the main problem, however. It is noisy and feels gritty and cheap. If this mouse came with a smoother scroll wheel, it would be pretty much perfect.
Summary: I owned a MX510 and Mx518. Used them for gaming. After reading some reviews saying this is the remake of the MX518 without hesitation order this! Solid mouse for the price except shipping took 6 days.

Summary: This mouse performs flawlessly. I use a Glock Armorers mat as my mousepad and it worked fine with my old Logitech G5 that I had for about 8 years. After about 8 years and countless abuse that mouse continued to perform excellently, I noticed the tracking was just a little bit sluggish while playing FPS games so I went ahead and decided to upgrade to this mouse. It is exactly what you'd expect from a logitech product. Excellent performance at a reasonable price.
Summary: The G400s is a high quality, all purpose mouse. Even though is marketed as a gaming mouse I use it 90% of the time for general office usage and only 10% for gaming. I've always used gaming mice for productivity because I find their main features (precision, durability, grippy surface finishes, customizability) are often much better than what you find on a general office mouse. A feature which has become more important to me recently is durability.
Summary: I've used the older edition of this model for about 6-7 years till it stopped working. Here is hoping this one lasts just as long. Cheap in price and lacking all the 'extra' bells and whistles of other gaming mice. After trying out 2 other Logitech gaming Mice it turns out that is exactly what I wanted.
The mouse works great for a few months that you own it
29 August 2014
Summary: The mouse works great for a few months that you own it. However the older the mouse becomes, the mouses wiring becomes faulty and stops working during gaming, or anything that you're doing. I love it to death, but that is the only issue that I've had.
