Love this trackball!
2 August 2013
Summary: I've been using this trackball for 4 years now and it still works great. Battery life for me is about 4 months, using regular AA alkaline batteries. The textured coating wore of/peeled away after about 2.5 years of daily, 8 hour use. I accelerated the process and now it looks shiny black, looks good and still works great. The left click button has also worn off after so much use. I fixed that by coating it with clear nail polish....
Summary: I have used one of these for the last few years and I absolutly love it. I ordered this one for a co-worker and she now loves hers. It looks like Logitech is phasing these out so I'm thinking I had better order a spare!
Summary: I tend not to have a great deal of space around my keyboard and being able to move a mouse around can be an issue. Even if using a mouse, I dislike the feeling I get in my wrist with it constantly sliding on the edge of the desk. Instead, for many years, I have used trackballs and I love them dearly.
Summary: I've used this Trackball for years and they are much better then a typical mouse. Lost the one we used for years in a recent move, out of desparation I bought a regular mouse YECH! We find it easy to use (might take a bit of getting use to but it seemed easy to us).
Summary: Allows fine control of the cursor without rolling around the desk/mouse pad. By keeping the mouse stationary you don't have to pick it up or reset it. It does not pick up lint and you can hold it in your hand and use it without loss of cursor control. It is also much better on batteries than my other desktop opyical mouse (laser on the bottom, standard slide around mouse) by a factor of 2 to 1 on battery life.
Summary: Good trackball that makes sense to use. Kensington has not caught up to this century when it comes to ease of use and ergonomics. Microsoft has stopped production of their superior product. So this is the best of the breed now. A large ball that you control with your fingers. Easy to reach buttons for left and right click. Forward and Back buttons, and a scroll wheel which is also a button conveniently placed.
Pros: easy to install, performs well, design, compatibility, build quality, features, easy to use
Summary: I've had this trackball for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I have small hands, so I was worried that the ball would be too big. In the past I've always used a Microsoft trackball that had a tiny ball in it. I work a lot of hours on the computer and ergonomics are an absolute must for me. This trackball fits the bill. The shape of it is strange at first, but my hand cups over it more naturally than any other mouse type product I've ever used.
Summary: Very nice design, sturdy, comfortable, and most importantly it controls the cursor very smoothly and accurately! I've also tried the Logitech cordless OPTICAL MOUSE, but for some reason, it is not as accurate as this and will skip often -- try moving the wireless optical MOUSE very quickly with sudden change in directions, and you'll see something isn't natural (but the optical TRACKBALL won't skip like this!).
