A well-designed trackball is easier on your wrist and forearm than a mouse, because you don't need to move it around your desk. Plenty of trackballs are on the market, but few are in a class with the Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan. As its name implies, the TrackMan combines a 27-MHz wireless interface with high-precision optical tracking. It's also one of the few models that are best operated with your hand in a natural thumbs-up position. Read more
I love this mouse! I have a condition similar to carpal tunnel in my first knuckle which prevents me from using a traditional mouse for very long. This mouse lets me take all of the stress off using my my first finger to click, which is a life saver. I'm such a fan of this mouse that I bring it with me to work - and then bring it home again so I can play my MMORPG games, pain free! Read more
I've used 4 different trackball input devices. I've had this one for almost a year now. I had problems with this device when I first started to use it, but I had recognized that it would just be a matter of educating my digits (fingers/hand) to use it - of course it helps to have played piano for a few decades, thank you Frederic Chopin. So, I reserved final judgement until my hand and fingers had adapted to this design. Read more or see product
Good trackball that makes sense to use. Kensington has not caught up to this century when it comes to ease of use and ergonomics. Microsoft has stopped production of their superior product. So this is the best of the breed now. A large ball that you control with your fingers. Easy to reach buttons for left and right click. Forward and Back buttons, and a scroll wheel which is also a button conveniently placed. Read more
I have used this trackball for more than six years with my desktop. It took a little getting used to compared to a mouse that you move around, but I liked it right away. No worries about sliding off a mouse pad or bumping into things while using a mouse. Your arm is relaxed and resting while your fingers do the work. Its accurate and fast or slow as you set it to be. I just bought a laptop and I hated the finger pad. I bought another trackball to use instead. Read more
May be fine for a desktop but if you're carrying this around in your backpack the finish starts coming off and gunking up the ball and the cord comes off the receiver because there's no molding or strength where it goes in. First one lasted about three months. Problem is, there's no comparison when it comes to ergonomics and button features - I just had to have it so I got another one. This time I taped it up with electrical tape when I got it, maybe it will last longer. Read more

I have always been against wireless keyboards and mice. This Logitech mouse changed my view. It works better than my Logitech lasor mouse which it replaced. The Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan is an extraordinary device. No more needing a square foot of desk space to manipulate a traditional mouse.
