Summary: Incredibly reliable mouse. It finally died after about 6 years. This was such a good mouse that even now, I went to Office Depot looking for it and was disappointed when they didn't have it. Regardless, I bought another Logitech brand mouse and am happy with it. Although I prefer this one more than my new one. I really like the size, the scroll wheel, the response of this mouse.
Summary: I had the model M-BT96a. I guess the problem with the optical mouses is the cable-it can get easily damaged. Still the mouse had a rough time- it fell many times while the cable was stretched and twisted regularly. I was satisfied by it until it failed to work. I fixed it the first time, but then again it malfunctioned. I decided to buy today other one, again optical Logitech. It is in the shop; however Logitech doesn't list it on its mice webpage.
Summary: As a Mac user, I needed a 3-button mouse for working in 3D applications, and Logitech's optical mouse was perfect. It's very hard to find a mouse with a software-recognized middle button these days, but the Logitech, with the button built into the scroll wheel, seems to work very well, where other similarly-configured mice I tried did not. It's also very economical. If I had any complaint, it would be that the scroll wheel is a little stiff, but no big problem.
Durable - still good after 2 years of constant use

Summary: Like the reviewer before me, I've been using this mouse for about 2 years and I have no complaints whatsoever. I thought I would write something just to help reinforce the idea that, if you are looking for an inexpensive, reliable, no-frills mouse, then this is a good candidate. For me, the ideal mouse has 2 buttons, needs no maintenance and it's responsive to my hand's moves.
Summary: Amazon Verified Purchase ( What's this? ) The pricey seems to have gotten screwy at Amazon, but this was a fine piece of kit when it was in its heyday. Now it's obsolete and old and nobody wants to talk to it, much like the way I'll be some day. Labtec, you were good in your prime. Just keep telling the new upstart mice "I USED TO BE SOMEBODY!" before tripping over your USB cable.
