Slimblade Tackball had issues but like it.

darb, B&H Photo
20 November 2015
  • Excerpt: Using the trackball in video editing studio with FCPX, Premiere. Love the previous Slimblade and wore it out, wouldn't put the cursor in the right place. Bought a second one and it is great except for the upper left button sticks sometimes. Having it replaced by the manufacturer or B&H
  • Pros: Comfortable Design, Great Features, Works On Any Surface

New Modern

Bob, B&H Photo
27 April 2015
  • Excerpt: The new slim trackball is very similar to the old one. A bit more clicky on the buttons then the old. The one thing I am missing is the ring that was around the ball itself for moving things up and down. I am missing that more then I though I would.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Glides Smoothly, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: Removed Features

Good alternative to a mouse

16 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased the SlimBlade Trackball because using a mouse was really causing me discomfort. The SlimBlade has provided much needed relief. Though I am keeping the mouse near by. It's my opinion that switching up between the two will be the best for long term health.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Fast Response, Glides Smoothly, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: No horizontal scroll

A Neat Trick, OR: The Elitist's Choice

Baron Rojo, B&H Photo
22 May 2014
  • Excerpt: If sheer good looks were the sole criterion for choosing a trackball, the Kensington Slimblade would be the one, hands down, money no object. Even the cable gets the deluxe treatment, wrapped in braided cloth insulation like some high-class audio products.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Great Features, Neat Scrolling Trick
  • Cons: Expensive

Almost Perfect

DougB, B&H Photo
3 January 2012
  • Excerpt: Much better than a mouse on my lap, I've used a track ball, but there are very few that are USB (and most of them are cheap and don't last very long). Button placement takes sometime to get used to. I hit the top-left button rather than bottom-left a lot, but you get used to it after a while.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Comfortable Design, Glides Smoothly, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: Scrolling is inconsistant

22 August 2011
  • Excerpt: I'm an editor and I've been using Kensington Trackballs for ages. The large trackball enables you to effortlessly zoom around the screen and programmable keys help speed up your workflow. I especially like to have a return or enter key located on a button.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Fast Response, Glides Smoothly, Great Features

Nice Hardware Needs Better Software

15 February 2010
  • Excerpt: I bought this product to replace a very old (but very reliable) Kensington Expert Pro Trackball. I am a graphic designer with a neurological condition that causes tremors in my hands, so I needed a large ball and buttons.
  • Pros: Accurate Tracking, Fast Response, Glides Smoothly, Quality Components, Sturdy Feel, Works On Any Surface
  • Cons: Poor Software

Minimalistic - flat - lightweight and perfect mousewheel

Francesco Lo Giudice, Amazon
19 November 2013
  • Summary: The perfect mobility mouse with sidebuttons in the mouse wheel. This mouse is what I use together with my Tablet PC/Ultrabook. You should not buy it, if you have bigger hands or if you can't handle very flat mouses. What is missing are the two side buttons but you can notice that before buying it.
