Summary: It worked great, but the rubber trim is falling off and it stopped working after 30 days. which is of course the return limit. Havent bothered contacting kensington to ship it back, just not worth the postage. Bought a newer cable laser mouse anyway.
Summary: I am a Pro Tools editor that uses my Kensington Si650 ENDLESSLY DAILY!! My first one (3 years old) just ran its course and I had to replace it with a new one. I went 3 days without it and nearly lost my mind!! Once I got the replacement, I was able to breathe again. It's small, quick, has great battery life - even without removing the USB to save battery life - I couldn't recommend this mouse more.
Summary: I have had this mouse for over two years and never had a problem with it. It works great, fits my hand perfectly, and I like the fact that I can switch it off to save on my batteries when I'm not using it. I'm surprised that the two previous reviewers have had problems, but I think it's unfair to give a review on a product when you've had it less than a day and haven't contacted support first to find out if it may just be user error.
Summary: I just purchased this mouse today. I inserted the wireless USB receiver, and it was recognized instantly on my HP Pavilion wide screen laptop. I also installed the software that came with it, but made no adjustments to the default settings. The software also logged on to the Kensington website and downloaded the latest upgrade. Ten minutes later the mouse locked up. Just froze on the screen. Nada.
Summary: We bought one at CompUSA, and unfortunately they are going on of business and have a 'no return' policy. (I would have bought from Amazon, but we needed one immediately for a presentation.) It is broke. Putting in the batteries occasionally causes the mouse to blink (not every time, just sometimes) but it never actually turns on. I will have to take it apart and see if I can fix it. As of right now, it's a paperweight and we can't return it.
