  • Summary: I sent this back twice to be replaced and it still doesn't work correctly. I have a PhD but I can barely understand the instructions and there are too many steps involved.

It works !

Doug Brown, Amazon
7 April 2013
  • Summary: Great pen I got it about 2 weeks ago,the inserts have to be tracked down but there plenty of sellers here to get them from.It worked as advertised, but you have to make sure to charge it when you get it and be sure the pen batteries are in correctly. you should also take the time to do the trainning exercises to teach the recognition software your hand writing this greatly improves the recognition.I had about 90% before it, now its only a word or two per page, after 150...

I've never been this disappointed in a product before.

CWDFKF, Amazon
30 January 2013
  • Summary: This is the only item I have ever returned to Amazon.com. I'm in a law school class which has banned laptops. I thought a digital pen would be very handy to get my handwritten notes into a text format for later outlining. I looked at a considerable number of digital pen options. This one appeared to have the functionality that would work best for me.

Unreliable

Gerald Stipanuk, Amazon
20 January 2013
  • Summary: I was using this in a work environment and there may have been some sort of electrical or infra-red interference. The device did not track the pen. Words in a sentence were displaced by 1/2 inch. Pen lines after the pen had been lifted off the writing surface occurred. The results were an unusable mess. Needs more R&D.

iogear

Mark Cunningham, Amazon
13 January 2013
  • Summary: I have had nothing but trouble with the receiver. First the battery would not charge or hold a charge, then the program caused my pc to crash or not recognize the receiver. When it worked, the hand writing program (OCR) displayed gibberish and transferring the files from the receiver to my computer did not take place at all. After talking to tech support about the trouble, I could not get the pen to work to my satisfaction.

Terrible, waste of money

Heyes, Amazon
10 January 2013
  • Summary: This product didn't work at all. I had to to take it apart and replace the battery on the inside to get it to even turn on. It barely made anything that resembled words or images that were legible and I was extremely disappointed.

Very useful product

Chandra, Amazon
26 December 2012
  • Summary: This works perfectly - if you train software to recognize your handwriting - I purchased it 30 USD, if software purchased alone from script it - price is around 25 USD - so this was really good deal -instrument + software in 30 USD the product is good - except the pen battery life is not too long - I have to change it almost every month - but it much less effort as compared to saved time in typing

Didn't work out of the box

Bill MN, Amazon
7 December 2012
  • Summary: I wanted to use this device immediately but the instructions require the receiver to be charge for six hours before first use. This would have been a minor inconvenience had the battery actually charged but even after more than six hours the receiver would still not turn on. I ended up replacing the internal NiMH (AAA) battery since the one supplied was completely dead (0V) and wouldn’t even charge using and external battery charger.
