Works Great for PS3 Controllers

Meka, Amazon
17 December 2011
  • Summary: Worked fine with the various bluetooth devices I had around, but that is not what I bought it for. Synced it up with my BT keyboard, BT headset, and Android phone and it worked fine, but I got it specifically for using with a PS3 DUALSHOCK 3 controller. When installing the software and driver for using with a PS3 controller, you cannot use the bluetooth adapter for any other bluetooth devices--bluetooth just acts like its turned off.

  • Summary: I needed a way to transfer my cell pictures to my laptop without all of the fuss of finding and connecting cables and this was the way to go!! I found some that were a lot more expensive and was thrilled when I saw it was available at walmart. I found it online but needed it fast so I drove to a couple walmarts and found it. Once installed it worked great! Actually, it worked so well I set out to find another one for my other laptop.

Works perfectly with Linux too

Skidney Frybabie, Amazon
27 October 2011
  • Summary: Not being a name brand junkie, I often opt to go with the no-name overseas manufacturer first -- especially with items that cost, say, $20 or less -- because, especially at low end price point items, product guts are often all manufactured at the exact same OEM regardless of what brand name is printed on it. That said, this is not true in the case of USB mounted Bluetooth Micro adapters.

  • Summary: This really is a great product. For the minimal cost it is exactly what I wanted. Took a few minutes to get the right drivers installed but afterword it has worked great on my computer. Windows 7 x64 Also if you are using this with windows 7 or vista and are using this for audio you may have to disable your default audio output device before this will acquire the signal.

Flawless installation in Ubuntu 11.04

Amazon Customer, Amazon
5 August 2011
  • Summary: Here are the steps needed to get your IOGEAR USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter GBU421: 1. Insert into your computer. That's it! The unit works with zero configuration with bluez (the bluetooth support in Gnome/Linux). I paired it to my stereo headphones ( GOgroove AirBand Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset for A2DP Enabled Smartphones ) and within 5 minutes of opening the packaging for the GBU421 and the GOgroove headphones, I was grooving to some sweet tunes.

Works Great Windows 7 64bit with the DS3 Tool

Christopher Schneider, Amazon
15 April 2011
  • Summary: First off, I need to clarify why I bought this adapter: I bought this to use my Dual Shock 3 PS3 controller wirelessly on my PC. I wanted to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on my 42" TV and my PC is much more powerful than either the PS3 or 360, so I wanted to play at true 1080p at 60FPS, but I couldn't have a cord running across the room. So far, it works great with the DS3 tool.

  • Summary: This bluetooth adapter from IOGear does as it is supposed to and has not failed me yet. I can transfer files to and from my phone without having to plug in cables and clutter up my desk any more than what it is already. Installation is plug and play and only took a few minutes. shortly after that i had my phone synchronised with my computer and sending pictures from the phone and music from the computer.

  • Summary: Easy to install and works great. Had to download Nokia Ovi Suite to get my phone to work with it, because there was no downloadable driver for my phone. Once I figured that out, everything works just fine. The picture I uploaded came from my phone, and would have been lost as a lot of others were before I got IOGear Bluetooth.
