Summary: This was a little "QUIRKY" to install and it was not recogized the first time I tried it. Now it works flawlessly with various Blue Tooth devices. The price was great and I am quite happy with it now. I soon will be buying several more for my other computers, now that it has "passed" my Lab Testing!
Summary: Install the software before inserting. I expected Windows 7 to work properly with this device but it installed the wrong driver and caused problems. You must use the CD for installation (or possibly download the official driver online). Once installed, it worked great. A small on/off switch would be helpful since removing this tiny device is difficult and would always be on (using battery).
Summary: I was looking for a bluetooth dongle that would work easily with Linux. I plugged the IOGear 420 in and worked with no problems. I did have slight issues with a Windows 7 machine but nothing too bothersome. I installed the dongle in a Virtual XP machine and it worked after adjusting some of the virtual machine settings and updating the drivers. So far it seems to work flawlessly with Linux and Windows. I tested it with two cell phones, an LG and a Blackberry.
Fine with headphones on Vista, SUPER flaky with Ubuntu

Summary: I bought one of these last year, and it lasted about that long of slight use. So I bought another one. I kinda wish I had tried a different dongle, altho I have to admit it DOES work. UBUNTU: Natty et. al. : You already have the drivers built in, and Ubuntu will recognise it, and pairing is no problem. Sadly, and IDK if its the bluetooth/audio stack in Ubuntu, or what, but mostly, I use this for headphones, and the connection drops all the time.

Summary: I was looking for a device that would let me connect with my LG Rumor phone to download pictures to my computer. I installed the included software, plugged in the tiny, non obtrusive USB micro adapter, set up my phone to accept Bluetooth and was soon hearing my phone requesting permission to hook up with another Bluetooth device. I gave my permission and soon the pictures were in a folder on my computer. I worked well for me! I leave it always plugged in.
Summary: I TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET WINDOWS 7. TO PLAY MY BLUETOOTH DEVICES. THEN A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. I BOUGHT IT AT A FAIR PRICE. INSTALLED IT WITH SOFTWARE THAT CAME WITH IT. I'M UP AND RUNING PHONE/HEADSET. ......
