Summary: Quite possibly the most annoying mouse I have ever owned. It is comfortable and light but the scroll wheel has a mind of its own. You scroll up and it goes down, you scroll down and it goes up. Just when you think you have it figured out, it scrolls three pages down and laughs at you while it does it. There re better mice out there, I promise.
Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom last year and I thought it was going to be a nice mouse! I was wrong. It feels extremely cheap and the plastic battery cover pops off almost with every mouse click and the only way to stop that is to hold it a certain way (a way that holds down on the top) which I find very uncomfortable. I usually grip the sides of the mouse and gently rest my palm on it. That doesn't work very well with this one.
Summary: What a disappointing experience. I just spent an hour on the phone with HP tech support, who have no idea how to actually pair one of these Link-5 devices to a receiver other than the one paired with it at the factory... What's the point? Why call it link-5 and claim that 5 devices can share a receiver. I wish I'd believed the other reviewers who said they could not pair a keyboard and mouse to one receiver.
Summary: This product was ordered November 25, 2011, I got it a few days later, in other words it hasn't been a year yet. I noticed that using the scroll wheel to scroll up the page is fine but going down the page is hard. This started a couple months of having the mouse but over the months got worse to the point where it seems stuck. I have taken it apart and that has not helped, I have no idea what could cause this to happen in the mouse.
Summary: The forward button on the right side stopped working after about 2 weeks and I don't know if it's due to the fact that it's a laser mouse, it's very not sensitive. It doesn't point to where I want to go and it has a very shivery feel as though the pointer is cold and it's like when I point to a spot, it shivers, moving very very slightly around a point. I liked the all surface feature. I tried configuring it. doesn't help.
Summary: My wife bought me this mouse for Christmas. I installed it on Dec. 26, 2011, since every single day, (sometimes twice a day) I have to unplug the USB adapter and plug it back in to get the mouse to respond. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product and HP in general. I am in the process of contacting Amazon to see if this product can be returned for a refund. I read other reviews and this is a wide spread problem, not just a user error problem.
Summary: I didn't buy this from Amazon but thats not the point. I liked this mouse and it worked well for me. I use my laptop for everything from gaming to editing pictures. It is my main computer. I had a logitech mouse before this but the dongle was too big so i wanted to get one with a smaller dongle. Having a smaller dongle was a huge plus. The mouse is smaller than a normal desktop mouse but this mouse is designed to be mobile. The size takes a while to get used to.
Summary: This mouse seems to work well as detailed by others. But every time I shut down and later restart my computer, the mouse moves the pointer very slowly and I have to go into Mouse Control utility and click thru some menus and "apply" again to get a normal speed. Needless to say this is ridiculous so I clicked on the link in the help documentation for support. Of course, it did not lead to anything specific to this mouse and finding the right place was not done directly.
Summary: Fantastic mouse, like everything about it: 5 buttons, small mouse, small bluetooth dongle, long battery life. Then it completely stops working after year, seems I'm not the only one this has happened to based on a quick google search it appears to be pretty common.
Summary: Pros: Small mouse, small transceiver. Transceiver fits in a socket inside the mouse. On/off switch. Ratcheting (or detented) scroll wheel, plus tilt. Cons: Didn't really work. Like, broken. The scroll wheel had odd behavior, occasionally not scrolling at all and then jumping more than it should. Then it would stop moving the pointer, particularly in the up direction, for a few seconds, then come back to life. This is within 3 days of purchase.
