Summary: My requirements are 1. must be wired(no batteries hassle) 2. must be good for travel . So when my previous HP travel mouse broke[ my mistake :)] which i have been using for 4 years , i wanted to get HP again for the same good experience. And iam not mistaken , this mouse is light and small and fits very good for my hands. If you travel a lot try this you will love it.
Summary: If you're looking for a nice accurate mouse for your laptop for normal use, this will work great. It's smaller than normal but that's fine, I've got large hands and it shouldn't hurt unless you actually try to palm the thing. The usb receiver seems so thin that it might break but it's been awhile with rough use and no problems at all. It's solid unless you actually try to snap it in half. It's also very quick and easy to pair the two, it does it in seconds.
Summary: I've been using this mouse for two months now and I am looking for a replacement. There is a button on the mouse to open the battery compartment, and every time I am using the mouse, I accidentally trigger the release button. Quite frustrating when you are in the middle of a timed game. If I touch anywhere on the bottom pink bar, the battery compartment opens. I don't need to push in the button at all. Possibly the trigger mechanism is defective in mine.
Summary: Bought this for my wife who owns an HP laptop that was having problems recongizing mice. I loaded the software and plugged in the mouse and have no problems since. She is very happy with both the performance and ergonomics of it.
Summary: Purchased this mouse to use with my Sony netbook. Apparently it requires a software install, but fortunately my netbook was able to install automatically without the disc. Once installed, the mouse is very touchy and difficult to use. The middle scroll wheel operates very slowly, and not very smooth. [...
Pros: Very responsive on most any surface, even getting passable action on something soft like a couch or smooth carpet. Compact, simple design fits well but does not have the ergonomic finger grooves of others. Very durable, surviving drops many times.
Cons: Absolutely none, relative to where technology is at this point. Sometime soon, a computer company (hello Apple?) should be able to build in a transceiver for wireless mouse and keyboard connection. My point being: Don't lose the USB connector.
Summary: This is the perfect mouse for my netbook. It is very easy and comfortable to use and does not take up a lot of space in the travel bag. This is my second purchase of this item as my wife confiscated my first HP Mini Mouse for her netbook.
