Summary: I bought this mouse for my laptop, and I absolutely love it! It works on almost any surface, and while it's small enough for convenience, it doesn't feel awkward in my hand. It responds quickly, and I love that it comes with a little carrying case! Definitely a great purchase.
Excerpt: "...I finally settled on the HP mini laser mouse as it matched my HP laptop very well. I think we paid £14.99 for the mouse which I thought was an average price, you can still buy this mouse and the price varies depending on where you look. The mouse itself is a laser operated mouse which to me is a million times better than the ball controlled ones as you don't have to worry about having a mouse mat or the ball getting trapped, clogged with fluff ...
Pros: smooth movements, very comfortable for small hands
Cons: may not be as comfortable for large hands, annoying wheel noise

Summary: Mouse works well and is a nice size for the smaller hand. However, and this is why only 2 stars, in use it is very easy indeed to activate the battery compartment catch with the palm of your hand, result battery compartment opens. Drives one up the wall to constantly stop what one is doing and close the lid. Bad design, really needs some form of locking catch.
Summary: Neat, responsive little mouse. Will work on most surfaces, including my knee. Have had 'jumping cursor' issues with windows 7 and the trackpad on my laptop so have to disable trackpad when typing and a mouse has become essential. I had trouble at first getting the usb connector in and out of its housing in the mouse (push down and slide) but it has eased. Have used for a couple of months now without problem. A normal mouse feels really clumpy after this. Recommended.
