Summary: I wanted to replace the Gigabyte M6980X I was using because it was having problems tracking sometimes. Looked into what else Gigabyte has as to match it to my KB and MB. As you can see I like Gigabyte products. Anyways, it was between this, the Avia Krypton, or a Corsair M65. As I'm thinking about changing out my mechanical KB for a Corsair K70 or K90. Went with this anyway. Glad I did. It fits all the needs I can think of. Fully programmable.
Pros: Very nice well constructed gaming mouse. Braided 6 ft. cable with a quality gold plated usb connector. Customizable weights are a plus with any gaming mouse. This comes with 3 - 6 gram weights and 1 - 20 gram weight. Making a lot of different configurations possible to fit anyone's needs. Left and right buttons seem to click more quietly than other mice. I like that, makes it a little less annoying when there is nothing else going on in the house and all I can hear is...
Cons: None so far. I guess it's not the Krypton, but I'm not spending that much more just for 1 feature that this one is lacking.
Summary: Reading through the reviews it seems that Gigabyte is an unreliable company. Some have no complaints with the mouse while others claim theirs was shipped broken/ has poor tracking. Unfortunately I'm one of the people who got a bad mouse.
Pros: Optional weights, software for configuring macros, nice design and feel.
Cons: Broken scroll wheel and the mouse looks like its been used. It seems that the mouse was refurbished and sold as if it was new and I paid full price for a defective product and now I had to pay the shipping costs to get it RMA'd. When I received the package I noticed that the piece of tape keeping the box closed was opened. The mouse looks like it has been used before and had light build ups of dirt in different crevices. The mouse functions fine but the scroll wheel d...
Summary: very easy to switch from computer to computer. the onboard memory saves all your settings and drivers so its truly hot swappable I have a setting for my work pc, my laptop, FPS's and then three other rpg's which are all on different pc's and all i have to do is unplug the mouse and plug it into the next and it works flawlessly everytime.
Pros: I take this thing everywhere with me, I feel naked without it. It takes alitlle getting used to but after a couple of days it feels like it was molded for your hand and other mouses (Mice?? LOL) just feel wimpy... this things a beast and the specs dont do the ghost software justice... really cool.
Cons: the ghost software stutters sometimes and takes a while to open up, but I use it from work so it could be an issue with security or something, but its kind of annoying, nothing worth taking an egg away from this master piece though
Summary: Buy one and if it stops tracking check the PTP setting in the mouse GUI.
Pros: Ok. This is my third review. My mouse had stopped tracking on mousepads and it seems the issue was related to the "perfect tracking precision" tool in the software. For some reason it was disabled and not calibrating. I enabled it and the mouse is stellar again!
Cons: After just over a month this HID stopped tracking on fabric mousepads. It now only tracks on my desk surface. I am very disappointed. I have been an avid Gigabyte supporter for years and now feel a bit skeptical about their products.
Summary: K/D went from 1.2 to 2.3 in bad company 2 this mouse is a snipers dream with the awesome dpi switching rocker (so much more convenient then 2 buttons) :DDDD Must BUY 4 gamers!
Pros: This mouse might seem a little cheap in price for all the features you are getting but trust me this mouse is the best quality mouse ive ever seen and i mean this thing is razer standard but without that ridiculous razer price.
Summary: I would recommend this mouse to anyone, This mouse made a huge difference on my FPS games, I used say impossible shots, now I am the one doing impossible shots lol. I am ussually between top players in frags now xD ...
Pros: 6000 DPI what else can you ask
Cons: None. Well I dont know how to use macro part yet lol. But i will learn later.
Summary: I have already set up several profiles for playing videos and music, gaming, and even surfing the internet. Macros such as play, fast forward, 8x play, close window, open IE, etc. make everything I do so much easier and I can switch between profiles right on the mouse. Built in memory allows me to take my mouse to other computers without losing any of the profile settings and functionality. AWESOME!!!!!
Pros: Super cheap compared to logitech and Microsoft gaming mice.
