Summary: It's a pretty simple mouse overall, and good for what I wanted (more buttons but still inexpensive), with decent macro software. The fact that it doesn't work at all with a good KVM won't bother most people, but it did make me lower my rating for this review.
Pros: Good weight and contour...fits my hand well. Sensor seems very good, and able to track very high DPI, and the software lets you adjust the tracking with very fine control. Software able to do some very complex config, including detailed macros and 3 profiles that can be switched using a button on...
Cons: Right-handed only (not a problem for me). Software not included in the box, and no info in the box on where to download (just find the mouse on the Gigabyte site). Software is not very intuitive. Again, it does the job, but some things took me a while to figure out. Does not work with my ioGear K...
Summary: Overall, I love the mouse; I just wish the Ghost software was better.
Pros: - Very comfortable fit for my large hands - Love the gripping on the sides - The non-slick coating is a huge bonus and leaves a great texture
Cons: The Ghost software for the mouse could be better. The UI is ugly and dated (think Doom-era games), and the copy/paste functions don't work properly under certain circumstances. I use this mouse at work where I'm a graphic designer and the copy/paste function is very important. But when it comes t...
Summary: Only has 3 programmable DPI positions. but I knew about that.
Pros: Great movement. Good for gaming and normal applications
Cons: Sometimes the mouse pointer will stop moving on the screen and "hang" there for a few seconds until I remove the mouse from the pad, clean it, and then place it back down. This only happens on highest DPI settings.
Pros: I bought this mouse as a replacement for the now unavailable MX518. It does the job admirably. It feels very smooth and works as well for twitch FPS gaming as it does for general desktop and image editing tasks. The mouse is light, but it does not feel flimsy and so far the rubber coatings have h...
Cons: The only downside to this mouse is the annoyingly bright LEDs that constantly blinks in an attention grabbing manner. The software drivers that come with the mouse do not work on linux. So if you're a linux user you'll not be able to turn off the blinking LEDs short of physically taking the mouse...
Summary: Great features like being able to change the colours on the mouse (Blue, Red, Green, although it doesn't have the light blue that matches the one on my Gigabyte Force K7 Stealth keyboard, which isn't a problem but would be nice), and the ability to change between three DPI settings - usually keep it...
Summary: Got this mouse after a bit of online review comparing between different brands. Wanted something for casual to moderate gaming that would also serve well as a general PC mouse and it suits these uses perfectly for me.
Pros: Good size and feel. This is how a mouse should feel, this is how I remember a mouse used to feel.
Most of todays computer mice are far too small, slippery, and flimsy where this one still has a good size, ergonomic feel, and nice weight to it.
Cons: None really for the way I'm using it, maybe price. It's a very nice mouse but for the price it feels like the build quality / plastic could have been of a higher standard - but they are certainly not a problem either.
Summary: From my understanding my mouse lasted longer than most other users. Since this mouse I've used others, and they just don't compare in terms of precision.
Pros: Amazing precision, laser sensor beats optical mice into dust
Perfect size, fits well into my large hands as well as into my wife's tiny hands
Balanced weight may be a bit on the heavy side
Tilt wheel allows to scroll back and front in movie player, move left and right in browser ...
Cons: The software is LAME. Hated it.
It lasted 1 year and 2 months until right click started giving up on longer presses (big issue for people who use gestures while browsing)
